Read and INTERNALIZE the "rules" before hitting the streets. The Army didn't send you out with a gun without some training, consider internalizing those rules appropriate training. You'll get the "education" one way or another. I prefer getting trained from others and not "schooled" from the streets. So read this at least 3 times:

Finally, I'd suggest reading 3 to 6-months worth of the threads in your area. There are a lot of knowledgeable posters who share information here and reading their insights can be a great education / training in its self. Along with that, as you go forth and experience things, come back here and post your experiences. I did that when I started and got many helpful and useful tips and suggestions!
I think if you read enough you'll see there is no exact answer to your question as it is a negotiation between you and the lady. There are girls who will ask for VERY high amounts, like they are on BP, and those who can be had for peanuts. In fact, for a while there were some guys around here vying to see who could get the cheapest date. I think those ran from a few bucks ($3?) to maybe 10? Oh sure there are general ranges but also dudes who toss out 100 to any girl who sits in their car. (or so the crackheads tell me!)
Oh and if you scan down the list of threads in the Philly Section, me thinks one might find one called [b]Google Maps of Philadelphia.[/b] That might help with one's training / education? Oh and if one wants bonus points, they can find the thread where the stroll maps have been congregated for the whole country.
Sorry if I refuse to spoon feed, as I believe the old saying: "Give a man a fish, he eats today. Teach a man to fish, he eats for a life time." Hope you take up the challenge and learn to fish. Mongering looks easy - Good & safe mongering takes a fair amount of training.
