Looking for something new I contacted a masseuse on BackPage. Looked good, worked out of a large office building in East Madison. Set up a massage and was told the first one would be paid for with an eBay gift card. She would take cash after the first meeting but would only accept a gift card for the first. I did not follow through thinking it was a scam. Does anyone know what the gift card scam is? Why she would not take cash? TIA.

She will have some sob story or crazy reason to see the card first. She will want to see all the card numbers to confirm it is real. Blah, blah, blah. Once she has all the numbers she will have what she wanted. My thought is you did well to stop. Usually when things seem fishy they are fishy.

You might still get ripped off once you actually meet, so there's more to be said. But if you give her something of value [B]before[/B] you meet, you are guaranteed one thing: You will never actually meet her. And it's probably not even a girl. LOL.

Eventually I'm ushered in another room. Very annoyed. The original girl is now in a fur coat (trying to flex wealth on me? LOL) and trying to hurl insults over the new girl at me in Mandarin. A 3rd girl shows up and gets between us all. She demands that I must tip. I reassure her, "of course."

They leave and it's on.

This new girl does her best. I'm visibly disappointed, akin to a puppy that just got smacked. She wasn't going to let me stay that way. What one me over, she ran out and came back in. Popped a Chinese candy in my mouth, and playfully started hitting my back, "happy, happy, happy!

She teases. I tease back. L1, fake titties out for 40. I gave her an extra 20 because she was a trooper. Don't think I'll return.

I thought when I said that she did not want anything from me before we met I made it clear she did not want anything from me before we met. She did NOT want me to send her the numbers before we met. I did not text them to her. I did not tell them to her over the phone. I did not send then on an engraved letter delivered by a little person. I did not mean to hem and haw (although I don't even know what that means in this context). She wanted me to bring her a gift card and hand it to her in lieu of cash. You're so confused trying to unravel the obvious because you insist on presuming she's not lying to you.

It's pretty obvious. She asked you to get a gift card. And lied to you about how you'd deliver it. So that you'd go through the trouble of traveling to a location "she" (probably a dude) would claim to be at. Probably while sitting in a basement somewhere in Texas. And then you'd get there, asking for the room or the apartment number or whatever. And she'd say, "Before I can let you in, I need to confirm you have the card I asked you to bring. " Confirm, by giving her the numbers. Before you actually meet "her".

You insist on refusing to see that she's asking you for something of value before you meet because you want to believe this isn't an obvious scam.

News flash: There's no fucking mystery. There's only deep seated gullibility.

Anyway, maybe you're right. Go through with it to the very end and let us know how that works out. LOL.
