No, they did not and I'm getting tired of guys saying they did. They say in the affidavit that they saw stuff on Rubmaps, but when they wanted a warrant they presented evidence, real evidence, not hearsay. They presented the observations of police officers that only male customers entered, they presented lab reports of trash they had tested that was positive for semen.

It's always the same, when the people applied for the license the clerk that took the application called the cops, they checked the place out from outside, then sent in undercover cops to see what was available and then when they got told to bust it they busted it. Oh you ask why they were told to bust it? Good question and like all this shit there is always an election behind busting hookers.

I think the police in Florida knew it was just a prostitution ring which was the real intent of the investigation. They emphasized it as a human trafficking case to get the warrants approved, gain public support and make it "sexy" for prosecution. They rolled the dice and if they happened to get some trafficking charges out of it, even one, it would just be icing on the cake. The police are after the money too, and they know that's there regardless. It's not like a toxic meth lab that costs them money to clean up.

That health inspector didn't just notice those conditions on her own, she was instructed by police to go in and look for certain conditions then police played that up. Whether she just found a few snacks in the fridge, a few extra massage mattresses laying around, police would have still framed it as evidence of people living there and thus trafficking.

In Florida they already had evidence of prostitution through admissions of johns caught during traffic stops. If that was the case, why the need to install cameras in massage rooms? Watching someone on a silent video acting like a prostitute isn't going to tell you if she is doing it willfully or not.

And why install cameras in the massage rooms rather than the "living quarters", bathroom, entrances, kitchen and general areas? That's where people living there are going to be, being beaten by their captors, curled up in a corner crying because they are a slave, etc. That activity is not going to happen in front of the customer while they are being giving a massage.

No headlines from ICE or FBI taking credit for a wider international trafficking investigation either. Just mentions of assistance. That tells me the feds know its not the real deal so they staying on the sidelines regarding the trafficking.

Use of tax payer money for overzealous policing and abuse of the Patriot Act. Now it will cost tax payers millions more as the government works to shore up charges against high net worth misdemeanor defendants.

That being said, what does he have to gain by pleading guilty?

The BS offer they gave him was essentially the same punishment as if he went to trial and got convicted anyway. Are we going to see him picking up trash on the side of I-95 during his 100 hours of public service?

You can see veiled threats being made by prosecutors in the news that the video may go public if he goes to trial. Really? So the police are going to re-victimize the "sex slaves" by making public the videos of them being forced in to sex acts by their captors? Even blurring the faces does nothing to reduce the trauma experienced by the victim who has to watch it over again. I think they were all voluntary prostitutes myself.

If his lawyers succeed at getting the evidence from the warrants suppressed, it will be a great blow to law enforcement in that area because it will set a legal precendent preventing them from doing this again in the future. That's probably one of the biggest fears of law enforcement has if it shakes out that way. The cops that did the work better hope they have squeaky clean backgrounds and work histories too.

Wow I thought it is interesting that Mr. Kraft is requesting Jury by Trial even though they have video tape of 2 SW's giving Blow Jobs. The undercover female LEOs acted as the SW and arrested me before any action took place. I pleaded No Contest as part of a plea bargain. Most John's do this. You can request one Misdemeanor or Felony to be Expunged in the state of FL but not all Felonies are Expungeable. You need to speak to your Attorney to find out if you can get it done.

I am thinking maybe he is fighting the part about how they are claiming "Human Trafficking" Not all SW's are involved in Human Trafficking. So if his Lawyer can prove that the SW's that served him are not involved in Human Trafficking the Jury will agree with him and Mr. Kraft. And as I previously read somewhere. If the search warrants to install the hidden video cameras were not obtained properly. Then they will likely throw out the case. I bet Mr. Kraft's high priced lawyer feels the same. All these arrests are claiming Human Trafficking is involved. My lawyer wasn't that good. I probably could have gone to court and won because it was an undercover sting with female LEO's. The female LEO's are not involved in Human Trafficking yet my arrest stated that I was involved in Human Trafficking. I hope Kraft's court case sets a precedent and all these bullshit charges of Human Trafficking are no longer immediately charged against John's. They recorded more than 200 guys and girls going through the spa so they could get their publicity. The men and women (female customers) who were recorded did not deserve this. The spa workers who were charged with felonies through a trick in the law did not deserve this. There are things you do not do.

The Police Chief in Houston said the exact same thing. "We did not find evidence of drug dealing but that doesn't mean it was not taking place. " His cops raided a home on a fictious investigation and killed the home owners. One home owner wounded a cop and three other cops were wounded by friendly fire. Ultimately, it was discovered the cops lied to the judge to get the no-knock warrant.

Not only do they not want to spend money on apartments, they don't have income they want the IRS to know about or that they have proof of to qualify to rent a decent apartment. Other incidental reasons for living in the massage spas: They are generally on duty from 9 or 10 am To 11:00 pm Time to get to and from an apartment would cut into sleep time and getting ready for work time in the morning. They don't want to buy a car (the vast majority use cash only for everything they need, and they certainly couldn't qualify for a car loan when they don't want their income known) and the cost of a cab or Uber twice a day would impact their main goal: Make and save as much money as possible in as short a time as possible. So, it's still working it's way through committee in the Florida house but seems to have support, a minimum 5 days in the county jail for solicitation. It started out as a 30 day minimum for soliciting a victim of human trafficking but they stripped that part out and pared down the mandatory time to ten days and now five.
