Been awhile since I've stopped here (ever since I heard Yuri left). Decided I'd roll the dice and see what's new.

I recently did some investigation for a friend, and the largest rule you need to deal with is the zoning requirement that the adult business can not be within 1000 feet of many other things (another adult business, residential property, church, school, park). You have to apply for a Zoning Use Certificate (bulletin 144) which costs $1486 and provide evidence that you are compliant.

A Pimping and Pandering Investigation that began in 2008 and ran through 2010, involving five residences in Carlsbad, Del Mar and San Diego has resulted in the arrest and a guilty plea of Robin Carrese Reid.

In October of 2008, Carlsbad Police received an anonymous tip from the San Diego County Crimestoppers which indicated that Reid was operating a prostitution ring in various locations throughout San Diego county. The “tipster” indicated that Reid had numerous females working for her and that she rented houses for the girls to work from.

The tip indicated that the prostitution was operated out of a business called “Glamour Massage,” through “glamourmassage.com” and that Reid was responsible for hiring and training the girls.

Through investigation, three addresses were developed and detectives began a lengthy and time-consuming investigation into Glamour Massage.

After extensive surveillances, prostitution operations and with extensive assistance from the San Diego Police Vice Unit, Carlsbad detectives were able to obtain search warrants for five of Reid’s residences, four she rented and one she owned. Carlsbad and San Diego Vice detectives were able to obtain multiple prostitution violations over the course of the investigation.

After the execution of those warrants in December of 2009, Reid was arrested and charged with five counts of Pimping, and one count of Pandering. In March of 2010, Reid plead guilty to all of the charges and is currently awaiting sentencing. Reid could face 2-3 years in custody.

What's sad is that she pulled a few similar businesses down with her, and made a lot of independents more cautious. OK for those of us already on "regular" lists, but makes life a lot more difficult for newbies.

Will be staying on Coronado island for a week or so.

My last experience at Sakura Acupressure was over a year ago with ShaSha. She was an absolute terrible provider (although, terribly cute), so I thought I'd check this place out again.
