I went to one of the parlors raided this week, probably 4 times this year as recently as 6 weeks ago. Anybody here went to any other parlors that were raised last year or previously? We're you contacted / got in trouble? Freaking out. I'm quite certain I'm one of the 500+ customers they have surveillance on. Thanks all.

Seriously, a washer and dryer are necessary to clean the linens used in a massage shop and many other businesses. I bet if you looked inside every small business you would find food. Yes, a lot of the women that work in massage shops live there because they are single and have no family local so it is much cheaper and easier to do so. Others live in the owner's homes for the same reasons. None of these conditions alone definitively equate to human trafficking. Just another way of trying to paint a picture of horrible conditions that do not necessarily exist. I am sure there is human trafficking going on, even in Ohio, but the vast majority of AMPs are not where it happens.

Don't they have to wash the sheets? And they found food. What a shocker. Every place I've ever worked has food. People are entitled to lunch breaks after all.
Perhaps there really was human trafficking going on. I'm not in a position to know. But the evidence presented in the news report seemed flimsy at best.

I wonder why these shops are always in some super busy place? And who was the twat that they interviewed? He said he went into the shop. Does that mean Maybe he got a HE and was unsatisfied so he called LE? Maybe the China woman made fun of his little PP?
I'm confused. If one is not caught in an act how can they show up at your house at a later date saying we know you were there on a certain date.
Not knowing the law, don't they need proof? Seems to them be a he said / he said situation.

I don't know the details after that. It's still a good idea to park elsewhere if you don't want to be approached and asked about it.

They'll be really friendly and nice and say something like "we just want to ask you some questions about why your vehicle was observed at such and such spa. " Then they'll shut up and wait for you to incriminate yourself, or, tell them that unless they have a warrant, you want them off your property and not to come back without one. However, now you have to answer the question to your significant other, and she never needs a warrant and you have no Miranda rights. So, the cops have accomplished their goal of fucking up your life anyway. Pricks.

There was one spa that got off easy because that same lot was used by customers of a bar, and it was hard to tell who was who. In general though, what others have said here sounds about right. Cops might not have any "proof" of anything you did, but they sure have your car in that lot, and so they can be disruptive in your life.
Remember, cameras can be mounted anywhere within range of what they want to see. Within range means a clear line from the camera to the object. And, it doesn't have to be close enough that anything can be made out with the human eye. They have cameras mounted on satellites in space that can see the pubic hairs on an ant crawling on the ground. And I am not bullshitting.
So there also are cameras so small, called pinhole cameras, that you can barely see them, think of the selfie camera on your phone. Simply drill a very small hole in a fence or a wall and mount it on the back. I'm sure we all can see what I mean. They also have cameras that can see infrared thru walls, as in two humans fucking on a bed on the other side of a wall. Not as good as a regular pic, just a heat outline, but you get the idea.
The key is if you get popped, what you say. And what you say is my name is Cheech, and my lawyer's phone number is!
And if you're just being questioned without being arrested, you better bet your ass that they are trying to hem you up one way or another, because if you say something incriminating they will use that to nail someone else and to try to come back to nail you.
