Then, when they exited the adult ad biz, BP stepped up to take their place. Once they hit critical mass it was pretty tough for anyone to compete because there was little incentive for providers to switch.
What's different now is that the ad market is completely fragmented and most of the choices, so far, are either expensive (like Eros) or complete crap (most of the other sites). If USASG can deliver a good product then it's possible they could become the dominant player. Lots of moving parts, to be sure, but it's anybody's game right now.
