You have to remember who is in charge. I find that replying with "oh, that's too bad... I'm real tight on time today. UTC is quite close to La Jolla (maybe 5 miles). Also near La Jolla is the place most ladies work in the Clairemont or Clairemont Mesa Area (maybe 8 miles). Mission valley/Hotel Circle is probably 15 miles south east of La Jolla.
If you have a map, UTC is basically at Miramar Road which becomes La Jolla Village Drive between the I-805 and I-5. UTC actually tries to claim it's La Jolla, but it's actually around 5 miles from La Jolla proper. But if you're staying in the La Jolla Hyatt or Marriott or Radisson or Embassy Suites, you're actually in the UTC area.
Clairemont-Mesa is basically 5 miles further south off of the I-805
Mission Valley/Hotel Circle is another ~7 miles further south than that between the I-805 and the 1-163, along the I-8.

Nope, I'd much rather take the high road. I have no problem alerting my brethren that she's likely to waste their time and effort, but I see no reason to cause her any more harm than that. Who knows what sort of misfortune makes someone into a wack-job who does this. Her harm to me was limited to wasting an hour of my time and a gallon of gas. I have no need to inflict harm upon her beyond telling other fellow hobbyists not to waste their own time with her. Heck, for all I know, she might even be worthwhile if she actually lets you into the room - but obviously, that's not something I'll ever find out.
