I did leave a review of one crap place in Hudson, probably in another string if that's what it's called. I think the name is Paradise Spa. One of the owner's posted a few times saying he thought it was a great place.

I tried that out on my recent Tampa area trip. I thought it was an interesting operation. Technically they pitch it as a nudist club, and that's really all you get -- a nude girl in a room with you, who doesn't mind if you touch yourself, or maybe her boobs. They didn't deliver anything more than was promised -- however everyone was very upfront and pleasant, and the girl was very interesting. She was new and nervous, but I got the distinct feeling that we hit it off well enough that I could have leveraged it into a bit more the next visit. (I never got back to the area however). Once I figured out what was and wasn't going to happen, I found it a pleasant enough hour.

Looks like there was also a charge of prostitution. Bond for unlicensed massage was $2000 and bond for prostitution $250, go figure.

A bill before the Florida legislature would make it a third-degree felony for an owner of a strip club or massage parlor to allow prostitution on the premises.
The bill would also give whistleblower status to employees who report their bosses for breaking the law, meaning they could not be retaliated against.
"I'm sure that we would learn much more about it if people were encouraged to come forward and be given some protection to come forward," said Rep. Dorothy Hukill (R-Port Orange), who sponsored the bill. "It's very difficult to come forward, especially when you've been in a situation when you're coerced and you're intimidated."
An employee who blows the whistle on a massage parlor or strip club would be offered one-third of the value of any seized assets if there's a conviction.

What is a 3rd degree felony?
A few signs saying "Prostitution is not allowed" and having all the employees sign no-prostitution pledges would probably solve that.
As far as being encouraged to come forward read that as "intimidated to say that prostitution occurred with the knowledge of the owners or managers". (Probably girls who were busted and threatened by the cops.)
And what is there worth seizing? A little cash that probably won't travel that far down the food chain and some "furniture and fixtures".

There was a recent situation in Winter Haven recently, where girls were working out of mom/pop motels, owners were arrested for allowing prostitution to occur, and according to newspaper article, authorities were going to seize the motel property, I would assume under the RICO act.

You would think that the money made in such a place would be a strong incentive to engage in such work. Do you think the lack of interest is an effect of the Catholic religion, or is there some other repressing factor? I find it strange.

Tampa, Florida - Tampa Police conducted an undercover operation yesterday and arrested three men at two Asian massage parlors. Officers said the Bangkok Health Club and the Magic Health Club, both on West Kennedy, allowed prostitution to take place in their business and operated without a license.
The Criminal Intelligence Bureau says the spas were using massage advertising as a legitimate way to attract customers for prostitution.
Undercover detectives say they faced difficulty building prostitution cases against these businesses in the past. This time they say they developed felony cases because the businesses were operating without the proper licenses through the Florida Department of Health.
The Florida Department of Health, the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the State Attorney's Office worked with the Tampa Police Department's Criminal Intelligence Bureau to conduct the undercover operation.
The operation also resulted in a cash seizure of $2,660 from the Bangkok Health Club Massage and $2,570 from the Magic Health Spa.
Officers arrested Sun Deog Lee and Mi Suk Radau of the Bangkok Health Club Massage and Ji Young Park of the Magic Health Spa. An immigration hold has also been placed on Lee.

If it's a motel or even a car the police won't sieze something that's got a mortgage or a loan on it. It's one thing to mess with an ordinary citizen, another thing to take something that belongs to the pillar of western civilization, a bank. I would guess that Mom and Pop Patel have good credit and a big mortgage.

Magic is supposed to be reopened with a licensed provider.
Wow, I just read the report about Magic being busted. I was there in late March a couple of times on business and saw Penny. Not great up close because of complexion issues, but very nice body and a nice rack. First time she was a little more cautious, but a great table shower with lots of touching then onto the room for the massage. lots of touching again to let me know there was more to the menu and my response must have clued her in I wasn't a cop. she finally asked what else and we just did HJ, but it included a nice rim job and her totally naked in 69 position while she finished me off.

Any word on Osaka's? I live about an hour north of Tampa and would like to know if I should make the drive. My last visit to Tampa was to Yoshiko and it wasn't near the service I could get from Osaka's for the $$$ anyway.

I've been busting on Chronic in another thread but even I have to support what he posted about many of the whorehouses in immigrant communities particularly in rural areas with migrant farmworkers. Where is that guy Newbie when you finally really need him? This issue was always his pet cause.
I Had a little "Ray of Sunshine" yesterday.

I need some advice from the more experienced AMP users out there. What would be the recommended way of getting a two-girl table shower without paying full price for another girl? I have not had any luck in that pursuit. Personally, I would say it's worth no more than a $10 tip. Should I ask the mamasan at the window first?
