I know the neighborhood given in the article. Definitely would have been suspicious activity in that neighborhood. More than likely it was a nosey neighbor. Not much you can do about that one.

No visual of illegal activity. Even if money there with fingerprints or serial number tracking somehow, what kind of case is possible? No illegal activity witnessed. Phone records, if can be traced to you could have texts about activities. All circumstantial but maybe enough? Again, nobody say anything without lawyer. Unless you are high value target how much money will they spend to build a circumstantial case? If they can't get either side to plea where does it go? Maybe tracking large number of licenses with surveillance and breaking down a client to testify. I just wish I knew. The ones I have heard of ended when the client lawyered up. The article says she does this to pay for drugs. She has been arrested before for the same thing apparently. The expenditure of resources to track this couple did not do much unless it scared the young man away for life. She will be back. Men will be back. Drugs will not stop.
