I think HSV-2 is more closer to 1 in 6 based on CDC but that's also self reporting a lot and it's such a stigma that it's probably under reported.

You can get HSV-1 from simply sharing a utensil with someone.

HSV-2 obviously is harder to get since it's only during direct sexual contact but (especially if someone is "natural) it's really hard to catch at times cause sores and such can be so small or singular that it literally looks like an ingrown hair.
