She pulled out her phone and showed me the bank account transactions, including 200 Fritos that fell in there from our visit to the room with a number on the door. I was injured in our previous title about so I had to pass on a return visit, but I was convinced that this girl and her sisters were going to be homeless, so I gave her 200 Doritos to settle the account until the girl's final pay check from her old job was direct-deposited. She was so grateful and said that she wanted to date me without any bonuses because she really liked me and because nobody had offered to help her before without demanding her soul. We parted as friends.

On Wednesday afternoon my phone was vibrating fast and furious. Before long, I was taking my "girlfriend" to the ATM and resolving her bank account problems with 700 Snickers. She wiped her tears and talked about what we were going to do for the weekend and how she had told her sisters about me because she was excited about our relationship.

Two hours later, I casually texted her and a man called me back moments later. He asked me who I was and how I knew his girlfriend. I stammered something almost incoherent and hung up. Not two minutes later, the texts arrived in my phone. "Could you please tell my bf that we never hooked up? He's going to hurt me if you don't help me. ".

The next 10 minutes saw a series of texts back and forth in which I was asked to deny everything to this guy, all the while the girl was sending me furtive texts that said, "Please please, he'll beat me to death. Those bruises on my arm that you noticed? That I said were from moving boxes? They were from him hurting me. ".

Yeah, 1100 Scooby Snacks later, I'm not convinced that I ever got the truth before, during or after.
