Just tried to use a prepaid card as I have in the past. As usual it didn't go through their system normally (even though I assigned a Zip). Emailed customer service with the card info as I have always done and they told me I now I have to fill out a form where, among other things, I have to give my name and billing address. The call goes out, but from the phones actual number, not the Google Voice number. In my case, this was no big deal, because I was using my burner, which cannot be traced to me personally (it is a TracPhone, I have posted elsewhere all about it). For someone using GV on their regular phone, though, it is death if you have a SO. The POT gets your IRL number, could make problems if she wanted.

Apologies for asking again but I didn't see a response to the previous message. What are you all doing for payment to SA? I had been trying to handle payment through a prepaid card. Didn't go through so I messaged support as I have done a half dozen times in the past. This time SA sent me a message that I had to fill out a form and send it back, no way.
I looked further and realized the Vanilla card I had was US only, and the website requires international ones. I looked at the international version, but all of those seem to require you provide your identity and drivers' license. I'd prefer to avoid if possible but is that my only option?

They don't show up on your call log, and the app rings, not your phone. Reply is from the app, not your phone. It's not free, but not expensive.
