2. You pay via the Google app store (or I assume iTunes). You can also do a free trial just to test it out with no necessary info other than your current phone number.

3. Outgoing and incoming numbers go through your Burner assigned phone number, which you pick. Calls and texts out are made via data not phone line. When an incoming call comes in it shows up as your Burner #. You will get random voicemails since this number was probably pulled from the available pile, but there is no name associated with it.

Nothing is completely safe, don't let anyone lie to you. But since your new I know that you are super concerned but if it is about LE then you realize they don't want you. They want the girls. They have pulled reverse stings twice a year but they give tells. It's always the same, they don't screen you at all or ask for any info / do the bust of hotels. They are all "come over now!" and the prices are super cheap. And they do it to put the fear in the rest of us and hope we stop hobbying.

I have a Huawei Honor 6 x (cost me $200, unlocked). Its a great phone in general, but relevant to your question is it takes two sim cards. So you can put your regular number in SIM slot #1 and a cash paid prepaid sim card in slot #2 as your "burner phone". I also like the various burner apps since they cost less. Bob.
