My "house arrest" has been lifted. I am no longer on moderated status, and I can edit my posts. I still can only post and reply in my own threads, but that probably is just as well. The reasons for this have been fully explained to my satisfaction.

well just from judging the pics in the Philadelphia section you have a much better chance of finding a semi attractive girl than we do in Rockford. The OK looking ones in Rockford are few and far between and I am convinced they vanish off the streets after finding a sugar daddy or two.

We DO have some of the finer if not THE finest strolls in the country. I always thought of the K as an excellent "playground" in this regard, but now that I have also discovered Camden (what was I THINKING not to just cross the river for some fun all these years!), there are just too many good possibilities for one monger to get his fill for a LONG time.

I have come to realize the interesting nature of psychological barriers that are reinforced by physical barriers, no matter how small they actually may be. Broadway seems a world apart from the K in many ways. It is only across the Delaware but it looks very different; it feels very different. Most of the SWs who I have encountered there are only very vaguely aware that the K exists, or that there is anything in Philly even remotely resembling Broadway. When the subject comes up they are only too eager to discuss it, and want to hear the comparisons, and my take on the girls on the K versus the girls on Broadway. I am sure there are mongers in the same camp, either who troll Broadway and/or the K. I am a prime example of a long-time monger who thought it doesn't get any better than the K so why cross the physical and psychological barriers of the unknown to at least get a look, literally, at the other side of the river?

In a recent response to Fbtom's frustrations with a few SWs, Cooky, you outlined a few things with which I have typically disagreed. However, I have reconsidered after reading your thoughts on the matter.

I like Tom too, as you have said you did as well. I have never met him, but I have gotten to sort of "know him" through his posts here and PM information we have exchanged. As you stated, he seems a decent fellow. When someone like Tom starts spouting off really negative things about a particular SW experience, you know that he feels strongly about it. When you read that he has changed his mind completely about being a nice guy to SWs, you know that this incident REALLY got to him.

We all can have a tendency sometimes to take all of this too seriously and too personally. It's a hobby. Cooky, you have called it a "game." We don't need to get all hung up over the words or labels but it isn't, as Cooky rightly pointed out, a dating service. We aren't exactly looking for SO material. We want to spend within our budgets for a reasonably good time. That for me usually means NSA, and I prefer to keep it that way. If I do something especially nice for a SW, then, fine, I choose to do so. If I have a GFE, then that's warm and nice. But I can have just as fun a time in a wild, unemotional, good old fashioned hard FUCK.

Cooky is right to this degree in my view: play the "game" to get what you want. They will play the 'game' to get what they want. I have been guilty of not always keeping that in mind. I have heard that she uses a number of different street names. One of them might even be her real name. Who knows? Your experience makes sense though. For me to have been the first one ever to discover and report about this gem would have been like discovering gold in California in 1849: way too good to be true. Hey, I am taking a page out of Cooky's book, and not taking things so personally. But, I was thinking that this was one poor way to conduct one's "business." However, nobody ever accused drug addicted SWs of being marketing or customer service geniuses.

One should not let ANY SW cop before a date IMHO. Getting ripped off is the least of your potential problems. I took a page out of Cooky's book. It doesn't pay to always avoid, or hold a grudge against a SW, unless she is just outright dangerous. You might be able to use information about a previous bad date to your advantage. Explaining that to the SW makes them aware such information is being exchanged, and affects their rep with good, regular mongers. Explaining the situation also might make your date much better than it may have been otherwise. The vast majority of SWs, drug addicted or not, have a desire to do a good job if so educated and motivated. And then there are the handful that just don't give a shit one way or the other. Those we will eventually all hopefully find out about and shun.
