Generally a bust, but not for the lack of good intel.
I posted this under the General category to at least say that the Back Channel PM aspects of this Forum really does work. Previously I posted that I was heading through Charlotte a week or so ago, heading to and from Atlanta. Bouinage and NCTransplant were very helpful with their advice regarding Indie Therapists, Escorts etc. Unfortunately I learned that scheduling when driving through is a hit or miss deal. After the advice given I focused on two over forty providers. It turns out they do not work on saturdays do to family considerations. Both predicted availability on the following Thursday. Alas as I came through, one had a school teacher conference for her kid and the other had two sick kids to get to the doctors. I believe them. I tried a number of options but seemed to be bumping up against prior commitments, or unanswered calls. Yet I am appreciative of the good buddies that offered help and I have resolved to schedule ahead of time next time through
Stings netted 31 arrests.
I seen it on the news today while I was at the gym that LE's stings netted them 31 arrests over the weekend. Be careful guys.
FOG* Media & Sex Work In The Carolinas
Perhaps because it's naughty.
TV news has become more about entertainment and less about journalism. The old newsroom saying is that if it bleeds it leads. And big fires, wherever they happen, usually get on the air because they make good visuals. So if they can titillate the audience with talk of prostitution (while still getting to wag a moralistic finger) then they might run a story about a sting in another city.
There is no journalism in today's FOG* media here in Bangtown. If there was in-depth journalism, exploring the issue of sex work in contest, then the reporter would mention that the USA is surrounded by countries where prostitution is LEGAL.
