Hello everyone!

I'll be making a trip to Memphis next month.

Is there anything you guys & gals can share with me?

Haven't decided on where I will be staying. I'm thinking of rolling the dice with priceline and bid for the downtown area (I see they have several 4-star hotels).

Someone suggested Beale street because it is closest to all the food and shopping.

Are these general areas pretty safe?

Can anyone recommend a good Italian, Greek, or Middle Eastern restaurant?
