Depends.
It's all supply and demand, darlin'. If there's sufficient demand for you in an area (for whatever reason: your service level, your menu, your reputation, your looks), you might be able to get away with charging your normal rate, even though it's higher than the market rate in the city you're visiting.
Normally, however, if you don't have some distinguishing "feature" about yourself or your services that will justify the hobbyists in the area paying your higher tariff, you're going to find that hobbyists pass you by in favor of the ladies who are charging less. In that case, you have a decision to make: cut your rates so you get some business and some money coming in (say you've got a hotel room to pay for before you can leave that locality), or just say "fuck 'em; I'm worth more than they're willing to pay", and find some market where guys will pay your rates.

I agree with BCG -- I think you have to be competitive (i.e., priced with the market that you're in) unless it's well-known that your service is worth more. If the going rate is 2 for example, and you show up advertising 2.5, guys are going to ignore you UNLESS they KNOW that you're .5 better than the locals.

Retail merchants do that all the time.
Or you could offer some special bonus for the first 10 clients or something. Maybe something like 20 minutes extra to the first 10 customers? Think of sports teams that give away tee shirts to the first 500 fans at the game.
Just some ideas. I'm no marketing expert.
An attractive provider who was just traveling through and who stayed just long enough to make some money to go to the next town was offering $.2 for the first few days she was here, and since I am price conscious, that got my attention.
