I don't know why that is, perhaps the ladies are gone for the weekend after the money has been made? I think they work more on Wed and Thurs being Friday is payday for a lot of people.
I do remember a few times I have picked a couple that were models, really. There definitely are, but in my experience. And this is a bit cynical of me but it is based upon my experience here. They strut around out there like we're all at the strip club--aggressively panhandling, providing nothing and with all of the risk on us. That's not the kind of games that real adults play, and it's definitely not worth even half of what they demand. I'll call it a crying shame too. I had great fun, at reasonable rates, for a very long time and with perfectly attractive women. What's more? They were usually nice people. I cannot bring myself to even bother trying. It's a good show here and there, but it's also distracting when one is trying to drive.
