After that, the recent boom in job availability in the last few years means there are fewer desperate women. You can get a $20/ hr job easily right now. That simply wasn't the case six or seven years ago.
I think it's also overlooked how much harder it is now for Asian and Eastern European women to fly into the country and escort for six months. Barista, server, hostess, bartender and similar jobs are readily available. The unemployment rate in the last two years has been between 3. 4- and 4. 1%, the lowest in my lifetime. In 2012, you needed a college degree to get some service jobs. Today some businesses I patronize have reduced hours because they can't find enough part time workers to remain open.
And, of course, the jobs pay much more now. The largest percentage of income gains in the last five years have accrued to the bottom quintile.
All of this means that in 2012 to 2018 or so, it took some work to find a job you could do 20-24 hours a week. And if you got one, it paid about $10/ hr. Now people will hire you on your terms and you can probably expect to make $18/ hr, perhaps more if you're a pretty white girl with good communication skills.
This is great news for the USA Economy. It's bad news if you are hoping to see hot girls reluctantly create a Seeking profile because they need $500 to pay sorority dues.

But inflation-adjusted personal consumption is at an all-time high and debt as a percentage of income (which is obviously normalized for inflation by its nature) hasn't been lower in recent memory. And, again, within the last five years the bottom quintile of income has improved more in these categories than upper quintiles, relatively.
It's simply an excellent time in America to be a low-income worker. Which doesn't mean there aren't other factors affecting the availability of and access to sugar babies.
