When I arrived there were twelve dancers (one 8, four 7's and the rest were 6's or below with a 25/75 ebony to ivory ratio) and about thirty customers. I was interested in Alyssa, Kayla, and Zerina. Needless to say, everytime one of them was about to approach me, I'd get intercepted by someone I had zero interest in. Oh, well, some days, it's the Universe. Coal mining, and that's what the workingman's clubs are about, some days it's just coal, some days you get lucky and find a diamond or two. A new AA gal, Summer, used to work at Trumpps. Summer looks maybe 30, firzzy afro 70's style, nice trim model like athletic build. Hands down best body in there that evening. Chatted for a few, didn't get the menu, apprently it was her first day back after a couple of years off.

Final stop was PH. Solid lineup, usual suspects. Didn't go upstairs. If you need a 1-5 rating, 3. 75.

One final note, my trusty GPS told me to turn the wrong way onto Michigan Ave, into Detroit. I thought about stopping into Venus, but even the promise of "sophisticated adult entertainment" couldn't reel me in. I mean, see'Mon. It's the the, there's nothing sophisticated. Also, I love JJ's reports, calling a vagina a "giner" like he's a hockey player. It's pretty sad though you have to rate the gal's hygiene. It is what it is.

One thing I know about strip clubs is that they can be real pricey, but the 2 xs I went, I never asked for FS and didn't know it could happen like that. I was green then, but now I know. But which ones has the best FS for the best $ ranges? Not looking for overpay. Is Players, Colliseum good in that regard? Something tells me Penthouse is most likely pricey based on it's high-tech interior alone.

I'll make this one short. I hit Hanks again Friday night. Pretty much the same line up as last week except that Vaida was gone. The very hot, long brown haired dancer from last week was there. There typically is a good selection of talent and you usuaully will find what you want.

I first discovered BTs 3 years ago on a business trip to Detroit. I spend a few weeks in Detroit on business each year, and I would say average visiting the clubs about 10 nights a year. A typical night I would be in the club for between 3-5 hours, enjoy 2-4 VIP sessions and spend about $500 a night on all activities. I had never been hassled in the club and considered it my go to place for relaxation in Detroit.

All that changed on my August trip. On night one, I had already completed my first visit to the VIP and had just finished negotiating a second trip to the VIP which I planned to take after the girl did her stage set. I had been in the club a little more than 2 hours and I had already spent $49 dollars on drinks for myself and the dancers.

The waitress comes over and informs me the manager said I need to buy another drink.

I said really, please ask him to come over and talk to me directly. It takes him about 10 minutes to arrive. He is an older man with a full head of hair, 20% is gray, the rest is still black. He has a cell phone on his hip. He is noticeably smaller than most of the other bouncers. He tells me I have been drinking the same drink all night.

I say friend, I want to be sure you are aware that I bought two dancer drinks and including waitress tips I have spent $49 dollars on drinks. He says the policy is you have to buy a new drink every 30 minutes (this must be new policy as they never explained this on my prior 20 visits). I say ok, it is your club and you can run it anyway you want. If you tell me that I have to leave if I don't buy another drink, I know where the door is and I won't cause you any trouble. I will just get up and make my exit.

The girl who is sitting with me is looking at him anxiously like don't chase this guy away, he just said he would go to the VIP with me. He says let me talk to your waitress, and he calls her over and says how many drinks did this guy buy. She says 2. I remind her that she forgot a shot of Tequila and a red bull that cost $20. The waitress says yes he bought 4 drinks total. The manager says you are ok then, you can stay.

Now I understand, it is Saturday night and the club is full, they don't want some dude taking up a table and nursing a drink all night, I just think before you harass someone, you should be aware of how much money they have already spent. In addition to drinks I had been buying VIPs, and tipping the dancers on stage, I don't see many people stage tipping the dancers. As result of this conversation I don't buy any more dancers drinks the rest of the evening.

As I am leaving the club, I talk to the lady at the door, and I tell her I had a good time tonight but there was one thing that I didn't like. I said I spent $59 (I bought one more drink after my second VIP) on drinks but I was hassled a bit about not buying enough drinks. She asked was I by myself? I said yes. She asked who hassled me?, I said one of the managers.

I told her that each night I visit I spend between $400 – $600 on all services. I said when the manager harassed me I offered that I would leave and take my business elsewhere and he said that would not be necessary. I said I know I am not your best customer, but I think I am good customer, and I would rather not be hassled in this fashion. She apologized and said she was sorry for the treatment several times and that she would look into the issue. I had no idea if she will or not, but I figured the right thing to do was raise a complaint for inappropriate behavior. I don't like being pushed around.

A few nights later back at BTs.

My business trip was not over yet and I return a few nights later, I walk into BTs take my usual table and order a club soda. The club is a little less than half full. Before the waitress can even bring my drink one of the bouncers taps me on the shoulder and asks to talk to him at entry desk. I don't recognize him immediately as he has shaved his head since the prior night. But his body language is aggressive, leaning into me, and his eyes look angry. He says I want to be sure you are not going to have a problem buying drinks tonight. And it clicks for me this is the same guy who hassled me last time. I smile calmly and think I hope he got in trouble. And before I can answer him he says confrontationally that I had better buy at least 2 drinks. I calmly state that could be problem, and ask if he would like me to leave? He says yes he thinks I should leave and recommends I patronize another establishment. Now I have several thoughts running through my head, but I know logic is not going to prevail in this instance. If I try to argue, I believe I will likely to end up in some type of physical confrontation, which will be a foregone conclusion that I will be worse for the experience. This man's behavior appears purposely antagonistic hoping it will become physical so he can dish out some violence on me. I calmly state, Sir have a good night, I am sorry that I troubled you and slowly walk out the door.

The valet is surprised to see me and asks me to come back soon, but I say the manager just kicked me out so I don't think it is very likely.

I am good drink buyer, I frequently buy 3 drinks for myself and 3 peeler drinks so BTs is making good money off my drinks. If manager guy wants to cause a problem why pick on someone who buys drinks? I think the club is entitled to make some money, I just didn't like being harassed about it. Certainly if you come in buy a drink, hit the VIP and leave the manager wouldn't have a problem. Since I was hanging around to do multiple VIPs the problem occurred. You would think they would want to encourage people to hang out and spend more money instead of incentivizing them to leave after one VIP visit.

What the guy should have done is say, Sir, I am sorry I gave you hard time the other night, I didn't realize how many drinks you bought. Please enjoy yourself tonight. If he did that I would have stayed and spent $500 in his club, including drinks, VIP fees, stage tips and of course peeler services, of which the club takes a cut.

I have always liked BTs because it was fun, fantasy, no hassle kind of place. The biggest problem was possibly being short changed by a peeler, and I know how to handle that. Once the experience is no longer fun, then the reason return ceases to exist. Arguing with a manager over drinks is not fun.

I realize whether I go to BTs or not, makes no difference to this guy. The 10 times a year I walk through their door doesn't make or break their club. It is still a good club offering good services at a good value. I do know if you hassle enough of your repeat customers and drive them elsewhere, it will impact the club. This is a customer service business and it runs on repeat customers. Without enough customers the business will slowly decline.

Now I am not going to let one bad decision by one manager wipe out all the good times I had, but I will be a bit more cautious, and as he suggested I will take my business elsewhere to a place I don't get hassled. I have been meaning to try some other clubs for a while and this gave me the motivation to do it.

I would have spent another $1500 dollars at BTs on the 3 remaining nights I went out to clubs in Detroit. All this money is lost to BTs because I refused to buy a $10 drink at a manager's whim. I don't know any business that wouldn't spend $10 to make $1500, but that is what happened here.

When I left BTs I drove over to Bogarts the first night.

The second night I went to the Flight Club.

The third night I went to Players.

I enjoyed Flight Club and Players about as much as I usually enjoy BTs.

In Players I had returned from my first VIP session and a second dancer quickly joined me at my table. When the waitress came over I ordered a drink for the dancer and although my drink was only a quarter full I did not buy a second one for me. I was intending to buy a second one later in the evening.

Now to my shocking surprise 45 minutes later the waitress comes over with another club soda. I did not order this, but my drink had been empty for a while. So I say to her what do I owe you?, and she says nothing, it is on the house she just thought I looked thirsty. She does accept a $2 dollar tip. The irony of this is amazing. If BTs would have just not hassled me I would have been sitting in BTs and not even be in Players. The waitress can't know that I was hassled at BTs yet provided me a free drink. I realize I already bought a club soda and the cost of that to the club is only a few pennies and I spent $6 dollars on it, so they are not losing any money here. But the difference in attitude is tremendous. I think this waitress just guaranteed I will be returning to Players on my next trip to Detroit.

I don't know if anyone else has been hassled like me in BTs. Perhaps it was fluke thing the manager did, although I sensed he has done this before. I would certainly encourage anyone who is a paying customer to not allow themselves to be treated this way.

I do intend to go back to BTs on a future trip to Detroit as I have had many enjoyable nights in their club, but if I am still not welcome, I won't hesitate get up and leave again. I would encourage any else who has this experience to do the same.

There is simply no reason to put up with this kind of treatment, or any form of manager harrassment.

The BT's manager is a stone idiot. I'd ask for the GM's name and discuss it with him. I would think he would be receptive to your concerns.

Basically, the guy isn't making any money and he's taking whatever personal frustrations out on you. It's chickenshit to confront you because (suitcase) Daddy's not getting his $.

In Detroit, you may need to tip a bouncer $20 for certain tables, and there's some minimum expected after that. I don't play that game. I do tip them on 8 Mile after a VIP session, because that's part of the deal with the girl. Since roughly 30% of the money you give the girl goes back to management in some form, you are probably a true VIP.

Once upon a time, I had the temerity during the day to park my rental on the street between the valet lot and the PH entrance. I got to hear about it from the bouncer with implied threats that next time, the car might no be there when I return to it. We're talking about $7.

Whether it's Detroit or Miami, I tend to stick to the same clubs. The girls generally move from club to club anyway when they think the guys are tired of looking at them and they're not making $. I think the 4-5 clubs I go to when in town is a large enough sample LOL.
