Well, fuck. I'll just leave this here. Don't know how to embed a video, but it's on the KHON 2 website and iphone app. Hope everyone is okay.
Fake products, unlicensed retailers pose serious health risk.
Designer handbags and watches aren't the only products being counterfeited. Fake medication has been popping up in the islands.
"These are basically counterfeit Viagra and counterfeit Cialis. These were purchased during an undercover investigation here in Honolulu," said Mike Carney, special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations, which falls under the Department of Homeland Security's USA Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Carney says the pills were sold through an online forum. The seller would schedule a face-to-face meeting with the buyer for products that "were smuggled into the country. ".
Carney says men who use the unapproved medication put their health at risk.
One of the more difficult products to spot is pet flea treatment.
"The counterfeit boxes came in separate from the chemical inside here in Hawaii at a warehouse not too far from here," Carney said. "These items were put together. The chemical was put into the box and packaged for sale to pet shops. ".
Carney says several pet deaths on the mainland have been blamed on the counterfeit product, though so far none have been reported in Hawaii.
USA Customs and Border Protection spokesman Jim Kosciuk says for the first six months of last year, the federal government made more than 200 seizures and collected counterfeit merchandise worth nearly $4 million in Hawaii.
"Counterfeit goods can be anything from sunglasses to jerseys to textiles to handbags to cigarettes to pharmaceuticals, personal care, high-intensity headlights and the list goes on and on," Kosciuk said.

You could also rewrite that headline "Fake Massage Parlors, unlicensed therapists pose serious health risk. Carney says men who use these unapproved therapists put their health at serious risk. ".
As with anything, do your homework and find a source that is reliable. Note, the only deaths mentioned in the article are pets from flea medication. Not trying to mock, but being alarmist isn't the proper response either. You should see the things the crazy stuff Huffpost writes about USAsexguide. They really look at us as the dirty underbelly of society, like we are a corrupt criminal organization, out to abuse women. Imo, always take it with a grain of salt and remember the News Media prints whatever headlines sell the best. That is my two cents.
That being said, Rico and Allnuts be careful about running into uncle Leo I guess. "Carney says the pills were sold through an online forum. The seller would schedule a face-to-face meeting with the buyer for products that "were smuggled into the country. "."
I guess you really got to be leery of spot pet flea treatment the guys on the corner are trying to sell you, LOL.
