Strip Club Reports

From Akron Beacon Journal:

A Summit County judge today granted an injunction that temporarily closes the Playhouse night club, where police say they have arrested two teen strippers.
Common Pleas Judge Brenda Burnham Unruh granted the request from Akron city attorneys during a hearing today. The closure is temporary, but the city intends to make it a one-year shuttering when a second hearing is held June 25.


Also saw this about Whisper's Bar:

Latoya D. Griffin, 25, of Youngstown, and Britney A. Bennett, 21, of Canton, were each charged with illegally operating a sexually oriented business. Griffin also was charged with soliciting May 15 at Whisper's Bar in the 300 block of East South Street. Reports said undercover vice detectives observed both women ''expose their breasts and grind their buttocks on bar patrons.'' An undercover officer reported that Griffin solicited him, asking $20 to perform sex acts.

And here are the people who got busted at Late Night Cabaret:

Five arrests were made May 15 at the Late Night Cabaret on East Tallmadge Avenue:

-- Dannielle M. Maffei, 25, of Ravenna, was charged with illegally operating a sexually oriented business.
-- Naiisar Mas, 23, of Allyn Street, was charged with public indecency — engaging in a sex act.
-- Cassie L. Brewer, 25, of Wooster, was charged with illegally operating a sexually oriented business, possessing marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia.
-- Aaron J. Reed, 25, of Wadsworth, was charged with possession of marijuana.
-- Jennifer M. Thompson, 29, of Brittain Road, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Does anyone know of a stripclub in Barberton named Frankies? Any information would be appreciated.

When The Playhouse in Akron was closed, I saw one comment about a new club in Barberton called Frankie's.

The official name is Club Francois. If you get off 76 at Barber Road, drive into Barberton. Just past the high school, turn right. Drive a little bit and it comes up on your right. It's small, but worth a visit.

I made my first visit to Jen's Den Thursday afternoon. I was very pleased with the attention there. Linda was wonderful to me, and she introduced me to several others who were worth spending time with. The VIPs were watched a bit too closely for me, but Linda suggested if I hang around a while BBBJ was an option. Clearly, take out is possible there. I left with two numbers. It was a very pleasant place to visit, and I will certainly be back there on my trips to Akron.

If anyone has any info on Francois or Desiree's in Barberton/Norton, I'm curious which girls give extras in the back and how much.

I am in the United States on buisness for a year. I have been in the Akron area before when I have been here and usually I just go to Lisa's Cabaret. I get off the plane two days ago to find that the place has closed. Does anyone know a place in Akron/Canton where a young gentleman can go for some head? Not really into the street walker thing, looking more for like a bar or strip club. Any info will be helpfull.

Sorry, dunno about you guys, but this post really sets off a lot of red flags for me.

I think there is a girl that dances at the Iron cage in downtown Akron for this she goes by Miss, Rosy Red Palm. Look proper capitalization also in spelling. I was trained also but can be more candid.

Excellent strip joint in terms of extras.

I have been there twice and both times got a HJ in VIP. I think the names were dawn and tracy, but I could be wrong.

The only real negatives are the VIP is a wide open area so the fun is not as fun as it could be and no matter now descrete you want to be, if someone has a staring problem, chances are they can figure out what is going on.

I also hear that on the weekends there is almost always some kind of fight with the strippers/bouncers/patrons. I have been twice and both times during the week early evening with not a whole lot of other people around.

Very true. The area of Rolling Acres and Romig RD is a case study in economic decline and the increase in crime. I would suggest to most mongers limit the trips to daytime. After hours that area is a hot bed of trouble. Every dopeboy in Akron is there or the Bungaloo (sp?) across the street (non strip bar).

I saw a rumor elsewhere that Jen's Den got raided within the past few days. Does anybody know anything about this? Feel free to PM rather than reply here, if you prefer.

I stopped by there monday around 4pm, and there were no cars there and the door was locked.I was there last week during the day around the same time and they were open.

The supposed out of the country person got a reply from someone before they edited there post they gave the person info.come on people can you not tell who is someone to trust or not. That person taht asked the question (armani) or something like that was 100% fake and searching for info. Most of us caught it right off the bat, but one person posted info. Not taht I am saying anything goes on there or anything. In fact they cleaned the place up from what it use to be. They are too late and is very legit now. Yes legit for all of us and just a fun place to hang. I have not been there in a long time though but always had very professional ladies there. They need to check out the old Lisa's I hear there is stuff going on even though they are closed, they just need to hang out there all the time and leave the other places that are legit alone. So LE watch the empty building since I know you are here Armani or whatever you are going by today.
