No purse. Talking on cell phone. Tight / revealing clothes. It becomes pretty obvious. The harder part is making sure she's not working for, or being stalked by the other pimp (LEO).

No doubt it's caused me to miss out on some good ones over the years but better safe than sorry. Like Speck, I will also never pick up a girl who is just standing in one spot. That generally raises red flags for several reasons. If I decide she looks legit and want her I'll give her the look or even discreetly point my finger while passing by but she's going to have to walk to to where I park, usually places like public parking lots, side streets, alleys, or driveways, places that either give me an excuse if stopped or reduce my risk of being seen from a distance.
I think the frequency of reverse stings is generally over-rated. You've seen them on Cops or occasionally read about 15-20 guys being arrested in them, but they take a fair amount of coordinated resources and it's not like they're happening often in LV or anywhere. If you understand how these kind of stings work and follow the tips laid out here, you really shouldn't get caught up in one (certainly knock on wood). I am always much more concerned by: 1) being spotted picking up a known SW; 2) getting caught in the act or nearly caught in the act and w / o a reasonable excuse for being parked w / a known SW in my car - a SW who may very well be carrying something that can get me hassled or in trouble. As for that stretch of BH Speck mentions, I would add that I have had a fair amount of success picking up SWs by getting their attention then ducking into parking lots of any one of a few of the numerous weekly suite-type places that line both sides of the highway. I don't do my business there but that's how I'll pick them up.
I try to avoid picking up a SW directly on the street as well. If you pull onto a side street it is better to make U-turn and face the street she is on at night. The reason is that quite often it's very hard to see if a cop is following you at night. So this makes it easier to spot a cop.
Personally I wonder why so many girls dress so scantily especially during the day times. All this does is raise the ire of locals and makes them more obvious to the cops.

I don't even dare to do a pick-up on BH. I just don't want to be driving very far with her, don't want to be doing the deed in my car in an exposed area, etc. So my approach is to have a room at one of the cheapies (AC, Sam's Town, EC , which are all about $30 weekday) along BH. I'll pull into an area, as described in previous posts, and make the contact off the street to engage in the conversation where I basically say little more than "I don't like to do a pick-up out here, but I'll meet you at the elevators" type of thing, and then go from there. Most of the providers don't seem to mind hoofing it a few blocks, although I'm sure that if they got picked up on their way to me they wouldn't turn down a trick. The $30 room fee doesn't add much to the overall cost in that I do one in the afternoon and one later the following morning, and that room provides, at least IMO, a significantly higher level of safety.

My RV is about 50 yards from BH so do have an excellent view of both entrances.
More than once I have just walked up to BH and came back with some company at a very reasonable cost.
Oh Yes, one more thing. If it's walking down BH alone. 95% of the time she's a SW.
Picked up (sort of, see my post below) Joy early afternoon in the area of AC. Asked her to meet me at Sam's Town, where I had a room. Paid $ for half hour of CBJ. I know, I know, that's high for BH, but it was to my liking. Joy is a spinner, mid-20's HSW who is very pleasant and would repeat. Forgot to ask if I could share her digits, so will do so next time.

I saw at least 10-12 providers out this afternoon. All sizes, shapes and colors. I talked to a couple of them, including Nikki a WSW who does amatuer fetish porn. Did'nt end up partaking but they are out most afternoons.
