Paranoia or luck
Had something a little weird happen to me this weekend and not sure if I lucked out of a potential bad situation or if I'm just a bit paranoid. Not going to mention the providers name or location because I do not want to be the source of an unsubstantiated rumor if I am wrong.
So basically I have been trying for a second date with a girl I met a few months ago and had a good time with. Have texted her several times only for her to not return my text for 4 to 6 hours. By that time I have left the area and not able to meet. Sunday I was in her area and reached out to her. After no response for about 45 minutes I tried calling and still no response. Another approximately 30 minutes and tried calling again, still no response. By this time I was guessing that it wasn't going to happen but still had a little time to spare. Was close to the hotel where I had met her the first time so decided to find a place to park and wait. As I drove by the hotel I saw a county sheriff's deputy turn into the hotel and so I decided to leave. As I was leaving I met a city cop that was headed in the direction of this same hotel. Did not see where this one went so not sure if he went to the same hotel or not but he did seem to be driving with a purpose. About 10 minutes later I get a text from the girl that she is ready to see me now. I just told her I had already left the area.
To be clear, I do not know that this girl is still at this same hotel, just a guess on my part. Also, I know that there could be many reasons for a sheriff's deputy to be dropping by a hotel, could have purely been coincidence. However, I have said at least to myself many times that in this hobby you can never be too safe in many ways.
Again, I do not want to be the source of an unsubstantiated rumor that would cause this girl to retire or take her talents elsewhere. Guessing that if this girl is working with the cops that she probably won't be around much longer. Also, if this is the case then someone has likely heard of something going down recently. Really hoping this is just bad paranoia on my part. Always willing to do my part and TOFTT when I can and have done some really stupid shit in my time, however there are some risk I refuse to take.
If nothing else, take my advice. Do your recon and get as much info as you can before proceeding into any situation.
