Some Report Writing Hints
When I first started writing reports, I found that when it was time to preview or upload the report, I wasn't logged on anymore. It seems I'm logged off if I take too long to create the report. To solve this problem, I started creating my reports in an offline editor. Then, when I log in to USASG to enter the report, I simply copy the report from the offline editor and paste it into the USASG report editor. It works great and there are no more timeouts. While we're on the subject of text editors, most of them have spelling checkers, including USASG's report editor. When a spelling mistake occurs, the editor will underline the misspelled word with a red line. When this happens, just right click on the misspelled word and the editor will display a list of words it thinks you are trying to type. Almost always, the correct spelling of your word is at the top of the list. Just click on the correctly spelled word and it replaces the misspelled word. This report was written offline. RW.
