I am here to sing the praises of this. I use it on my Android burner phone. That gives me a Google account along w / the GV number. I logged into that gmail account on my computer, and there they were. Even better, within the 'email' is a little Google Voice icon. Click it and a window opens that shows all text conversations just like they would be on your phone, including any photos. If you like to get the photos you've been sent off your phone, this is a dead easy way.

This also works particularly well for me as I have a SO. I *never* have my burner in my house, the closest it ever gets is inside a first aid kit in my trunk.
