She implied there may have been an issue and she took the needed steps to keep things safe which is cool. I just think the "they were busy" is BS (for the reason I previously stated) and don't think it is BS from them.

What prob needs to stop is hobbyists on the boards speaking and advertising for them. It really just adds a layer of shadiness to it. Not sure they are even aware people are speaking on their behalf in some instances. They'd benefit from joining and interacting on multiple boards and use BP a little less. Too bad Kim is only on one (local) board that she's not on too much.
