So a k girl I've gotten to know pretty well shared her life story with me yesterday. I thought I knew how that would go, but I wasn't even close. I was on the edge of my seat rooting for her as she detailed her life up to present day. An epic tale that was sobering to say the least.

You would think it's always about abuse from a family member, mom's boyfriend (s) etc. But not always. Stripper GF long ago, got into stripping for the attention. Always had attention as little girl, contests, dance groups, cheer etc. Her best friend says. Easy money, come with me. Stripping led to the normal path of prostituting, then a BF drug dealer, started another bigger path of self-destruction. All mostly by her decision for easy money and easy attention and party all the time. Her logic. Not a crack *****, but a ***** that buys crack are totally different and justifiable in her mind.

So, yea, lots of stories, not all the same, granted a lot are the same. I haven't asked any of the current K-girls I know, but I do realize it's a job and they have this job for a reason, mostly language gets in the way and hot sure if truth is being told hardly ever so don't really push for personal questions. Many are held accountable by the agency, so at least they don't seem to be doing drugs or self-destructive partying etc. Don't know. One I know will work for a month then quit for 2 or 3, doesn't travel, then work again. My guess is BF gets fired or something. Says she's trying to go legit, maybe, maybe not. Not sure of immigration status, I don't know how that part works.

I get a little emotionally attached, mostly as another human being that also has a history and issues (did I mention stripper GF? I'm curious, but respect the privacy too. Even with everyone's story, as long as they get into it voluntarily or to escape a situation (sort of same thing), I can justify my needs being met and I'm helping them make money. If they're kidnapped and being forced, that's an entirely different story, but don't think that's the case in an agency.

Story started with "I was born in North Korea." And I knew I was in for way more than I bargained for. All of the things you mentioned are sad stories, but this was a feature films worth from one country to another & one bad situation to another. One brave girl who found ways out of all of it. It was incredible story, and for her to be as genuine and sweet coming out the other side of it just blows my mind. Sure she has this job for now, but she could be fucked up in so may different ways from all of that and is generally pretty happy & has ambitions beyond this. She's still fairly young (late 20's) so it's not quite a happy ending just yet, but still incredible just to be where she is.

I think the fantasy is they are all just nymphomaniacs that can get enough American dick. But really, most of them are just really good at the job.

Korea is not as welcoming as you would expect regarding escapees from the North and it's still a rough time for most. Escaping via China and trying to get back to the South isn't a good trip for anyone. You would think just going south would be easier, but because of the DMZ, land mines and actual guards it's the toughest way to go.
