You called it right Mate in my opinion, You have to look out for yourself. To help realign your compass, think about this? You stated she is your ATF, so you might view her a bit different then your other providers, But are you her ATF? I have been down that same road and tried to help one of my prior ATF's (key word, prior) and after running in circles to help, it came to me that the only reason I was called was because I seemed to always have banknotes when others don't. One of my ATFs once called me because her lights were turned of. She was crying her eyes out and embarrased. I told her to relax. How much? I asked. Just 80 bucks to turn them back on. Holy hell, fine I said, do you want it now. No she said can you just pay it directly?

That told me that she was telling the truth. So I made the payment at the power company and and all was good. She called me up and wanted me to come over to thank me.

Let me tell you brother, that woman banged the shit out me for next 2 days straight and asked for nothing! She was top notch, a little older but a gym rat, in great shape with a big nice rack. She stayed an ATF for about another 7 months until she got out of the biz altogether.

You have to know your situation, but if you have a good one, sometimes you have to work with them. They are not perfect, yes they drink and do more but you have to know when to keep or let them go. It seems like you might have lost a good one.

In fact, your even second guessing what you did and coming here to the forum for other opinions.

I don't know if you can patch things up with this one but the only way to do that would be with bank notes. And be firm, your not begging your way back in like a *****, just let her know that the situation looked shady due to the 2 guys but you wanted to do right by her.

Personally I believe that if you pay for services and do not receive the services that you paid for, then the provider stole from you. That is why I called her a thief and I still stand behind that statement.

My guess is she has to move quickly, probably would have blown off any other customers, but since you've been a cool regular she wants to fill your need. By the sound of it you were fiending yourself for some service!

Fact- She gets to the deed without even talking arrangements. She trusts that you will take care of her.

Fact- "I agree to go to car and bring back said remainder". She trusts you to do that and you bolt due to the 2 dudes who you don't know.

Now here's where you could have fixed it. You could have called and said,"Hey I saw 2 dudes heading your way, I have that extra $ for you but I don't want them around. Lets get this worked out another time, or later, but I won't leave you hanging"

-Hell yeah she did, but who knows if in a bad way. She was cool with you leaving to get her some more $ and then you didn't even answer her. If you've lost her then she may be a bit justified. She trusted you and you bolted. May have been a good call, due to the 2 dudes. But you may have to chalk this one off to the game and move on.

Hell, I even offered to mail the funds to her. I offered to make it right next weekend when I am back in town, but I get plenty of oh how you have done me wrong. I try to explain my position and that I am not a bull shitter and I get nothing. I offered up that 1 hr was a misunderstanding and still willing to fix it, nothing doing. Still wants to argue. She will be heading home this week to face the judge again. If she makes it back to wilmington, I will fix it. I in no way want to leave her with this impression, but she will have to want it too.

I asked to see who would have gone back to the room and I am finding that not many would have. Most of what you suggested, I did do, but in consideration of a lenghty post, I opted not to go into such detail.

I get the want to make it right thing, but without opening yourself up to wide to make it right, set a limit and draw a line in the sand. If she forgives you for a misunderstanding, game on. If you have to beg and plead, Her loss.
