It really IS slow out there. I was out this morning (Sat.) between 7 and 8 am. Not a soul in any of the usual places. And I think I know all the places :) Then I was back out around noon. Again, I didn't see a one. And I looked hard both times! Maybe they're working the tourists or the carnies across the river at The Big E!

Wow - that sucks! This is way out of my league, since I would never pay anyone $200. But even in the $40-$60 range, I tell them right up front that I don't pay till we're done. I'm happy to show them the money, so they know I have it. But I don't pay till the show is over. Occasionally they balk and walk. I can live with that. But normally I assure them that if I was going to rip them off, I would have told them I was paying them $100 or $150, not a measly $40. Then I could have had a really good time before ripping them off! Explained that way I think they get it and it usually it works out fine.
