Saturday Night Sting Operation
Well looks like they were at it again tonight. I was in the area around 9pm and the same two decoys were now at Lil Lou's. Tonight one in the same white jacket from last night and the other in a red jacket and after a couple of passes, seems like she changed into a black jacket.
Guys these are really easy to spot. Just check your surroundings before picking up any new girls. Tonight there was a chase vehicle (Dark Ford Expedition with Limo tinted window) parked under the RR bridge on Kensington
just north of Lil Lou's. The other was on the west side of Venango.
Didn't have a chance to hang around and see where they were staging the other cops to process the busts, but they did chase one car down Sedgley St. Also these girls again had the silver Mini Van with limo tinted windows near by again just as last night.
Re: Friday Night Sting Operation
[QUOTE=Davey1965]Thought something looked suspicious as two cute hispanic girls were staying
under the bridge at Lehigh seemingly working just a little too hard. Most
cars were staying clear (smart) but others did fall victim.
I went across Lehigh, got a cheesesteak (should have been popcorn) and
watched the show. First car, totally idiot. Stopped almost at a 45 degree
angle to talk to the one girl. Zappo !! Three unmarked cars surrounded him in
an instant. This happenned about 10 times from 9-11pm last night and
all went down the same.

Hey Davey,
Nice report. Did you happen to notice whether the girls, at anytime, got into the monger’s car? If a girl hesitates ever so slightly to get in, I am out of there. In most cases, the true SW is in just as much of a hurry to get out of the area as we are.
Your normal everyday LE activity/stop is aimed at the SW. When they setup a sting and use a female decoy, they are after the john. When something seems a little outside of the norm, such as girls working in an area not usually frequented by local girls (such as you described), it is time to think with the big head. I have seen local girls walk under that bridge on their way somewhere else, but they seldom wait or stop there.
FYI. Every year, during the holidays, LE will make a push to cut back illegal activities in the Kensington shopping area. Many girls resort to boosting and scamming at this time of year. Shop lifting and bag snatching activities become a major issue. Local store owners and their patrons do not appreciated girls plying their trade on the crowded avenue. The thinking is that induced by their habit some girls resort to crimes of opportunity. Also, this is the time of year when lots of parents take/send the young kids and teens out shopping. No one wants you assholes trying to pickup Betty Lou, (in the outrageous outfit) as she shops. So; suffice it to say there is added pressure for an increased LE present at this time of year.
Next to a careful hunt, the best defense against the LE sting is the thoughtful sharing of information and reports such as the one given by Davey.
Thanks Davey.

PS: Make sure your paperwork is up to date. Check your vehicles headlights, taillights and etc. Do not provide LE with a reason to stop you.
Another Twist on the Stings
Was with one of my regulars (Carissa) last night and apparently she got popped by the decoys as well. She said the two girls were at Tioga and they were talking with a guy. So when she walked by she said hi to one of
the girls and they started talking to her. During the conversation the guy wonderer back over and started talking. Finally he asked Carissa if she would like to do a date and walk back to the car with him. Thinking that this was a walk up who was talking to 2 other sw'ers she was fine. Well during the walk the money came up and she got locked up. Fortunately she had no warrants and with this being her first prostitution but she was let out that eve with a ticket and a court date.
Two cents on the sting thing and stops in general
Being a lawyer and reading this thread is worse than watching an episode of Ally McBeal in terms of its total abandonment of reality. I've seen several say that if the cops search your car without probable cause, the evidence they find should get tossed out. As if that just happens itself.
Well, let me lay it down. If a cop searches your car without probable cause, you'll still be charged if they find anything and you'll have to hire a lawyer to represent you and file a motion to exclude that evidence.
Technically speaking, unless another valid exception to the warrant requirement exists, any evidence SHOULD get thrown out, but there are tons of reasons why it might not. Moreover, if the judge decides to fuck you, the evidence will be admitted and you're then stuck either making some kind of deal (after your bargaining position is weakened by losing your motion) or going to trial....with the illegally obtained evidence used against you.
If convicted, your only avenue to escape your penalty is to successfully overturn the decision on the exclusion of evidence on appeal. Assuming that you win the motion and the evidence gets tossed, you're still out at least $2,500 unless you think you can do it yourself. Here's a tip: You can't.
Not to mention, this is Philly, and the usual rules do not always apply. Best rule: Never carry anything in the car, never make a pickup on the Ave, and always be suspicious of any manner of dress that could be used to hide an earpiece.
Everyone who makes it sound easy ignores the real costs and hassles as if they don't exist. They do.
