Was in Fukuoka, Japan earlier this month. Stumbled across some of the soapland places Japan is famous for. At least a few of these establishments are near the canal area (where the outdoor food stands are). I didn't venture into these establishments because I was with the SO, so I can't vouge for how good they are. I did notice names like college classmates and blue rose.
I'm not sure if they take foreigners, so I wouldn't make a special trip there. It's more like if your in the area, you might want to check it out. Those places aren't cheap. I saw prices of 25,000 for 60 minutes (that's roughly $240 for an hour). The yen is getting stronger by the day so it's no bargain. If you want bargains go to Thailand.
