Google voice is free and lets you call and send / receive pics.

Downside I've found is also trying to peruse some dating apps for quick hookups. Many of them don't accept the temp number provided by that app. That only matters if you use a burner though. The archive feature is nice, too.
The only thing that bugs me with GV is the lack of support for any mainstream video formats, like MP4. Sometimes people send photos that are actually single-frame MP4's. Probably not on purpose. And for most phones / apps, it wouldn't matter, because MP4 media shows up no problem. But with GV it shows up as a blank frame, saying "Unsupported format. ".
I'd use it if it supported basic media wrappers like MP4. Great otherwise.

Is free and it has adds but very stable, also no issues displaying pictures and it does not drain the phone battery.
