After a long, awkward pause, she explained that she doesn't charge by the hour, etc, but for the "experience". I clarified that I was not asking for a refund / discount, but there was no point hanging around if it was awkward for either of us.
7. She then came back (think she felt better that the money wasnt a concern to me) and continued what I would consider a subpar, poking, prodding massage followed by a miserable attempt at a handshake that I decided to quickly finish with a High 5 to myself.
8. In short, I was in and out and on my way in 33 minutes. How did I know precisely how long I was there? The 8 inch high, old school alarm clock that stares at you the entire time. An interesting side note. On my way out she said "I think I may have been a bit on edge today". I smiled and said "no worries" then headed for the door that had been wedged shut with a device. It begged the question. Was she expecting someone to barge in during the visit? Just a final, odd, parting gift on my way out.
Now, I say all this not out of any frustration. I didn't expect much going in. I just want my "experience" out there to go with the other feedback. What turned me off from my baseline low expectation was the attitude / entitlement. I am not sure how to explain it. Indifference, bitchy / moody, unstable come to mind but, again, just my humble opinion. When I look at this globally and based on my experiences, I see this. I am being asked to pay 1. 5 for a very below average massage, a miserable handshake that barely kept the blood flowing and a masterful job of her being just off center enough to make it awkward enough for me that I voluntarily cut the "experience" short. Now I take that same 1. 5 to one of our other ladies for 33 minutes of their time and I am going to be left weak in the knees and yearning to come back for more. Hell, I take 1 to Kennedy on a Thursday night and I am going be begging her to stop after 33 minutes.
Clearly. This is just one mongers experience. And the experiences vaguely shared on this board seem to vary. I am not sure I could, with a straight face, could quantify this as a YMMV scenario.
