Only rare exceptions for me were times when I'd been seeing someone on a repeat basis and we couldn't go through with a bcd day because of my own schedule changes. There were a few times like that where I advanced a girl some funds when I knew the need was legitimate, but there was some real long term familiarity in those arrangements. I would never ever do it on a first meet or for someone I'd only seen a few times casually. If most of these girls catch even a whiff of that kind of free money, you'll never get them near a bed again.

However, some girls who you look at and wonder how in the heck are they on the site, check all the normal boxes as far as going to college, seem decent, etc. I have started with some small donation with expectation I will just lose that money.
