Well since I was in the area Thursday night I decided to hit Fib for a minute this was around 8 pm. I went on Wendell and notice nobody was in the area it was like a ghost town it looks as tho that gas station formerly known as the Shamrock was completely shutdown not a soul in the area. I went up on Wendell toward MLK saw no one I was surprised as Wendell is where most people are but not tonight. It looks as though LE shut Wendell down also and as I turn onto Mlk headed back toward Fib notice LE Suv sitting at the building on the right across on the right side of MLK with Lights on. Great write up and you touched on something I've been saying from day one since coming out from the West Coast to Atlanta and my experiences across the country being a military veteran. FIB, is just way to small of an area to last as long as it did. The political powers that be saw it as a last ditch area for criminal activity pretty much controlled the small area of about 3-4 blocks. In terms of SWer track, the smart thing should've been to stretch out the track to the MLK area as you stated. Yes, there's always been a little bit of traffic in that area and I have as well parked in that little wooded area by the school just past the laundry mat on a couple of occasions LOL.
In 6 yrs of being here in the Atl, I think I've found only two and picked them up off the MLK both were really pretty WSW early 20's. Both were out of state. Never seen them ever again in the area. This was around the time the Air Way was going out of business.
Anyway, my point is FIB was always controlled by the powers that be and as the Atlanta land property has grown, commercial real estate is booming, the FIB corridor is looking to capitalize on commercial business coming into the area. Hence, time to clean up the area.
I think when I first came on this board, I mentioned how I couldn't believe how small this track was for a city so big and spread out. Yes, little pickets here and there as mentioned. When I arrived here you could sense the demise coming vs the girls I would talk to sayi g FIB is here forever. I would think, these girls don't understand the way of the world. Anyway, things in the SW world have rapidly changed in the Atlanta are by all accounts. Atlanta is growing, commerical land is growing.

I've noticed more so during my Uber and my Lyft days of last year that FIB is pretty much over but I've noticed I've seen way more SWs moving about in the less likely areas like Chamblee, Norcross (jimmy carter) and even memorial drive is started to pick but up. Now Memorial is a hit a or miss. There's about three that I see on the regular. One of them I think is tranny, way too tall but always where's this mini skirt and walks up and down between the Applebee's and Burger King. Think is the jail is right there in Birdseye view. LOL. Definitely a put off for the less courageous. I have a sugar baby out in Norcross who I occasionally have to run to the papa deuxs to keep her quiet, and if you go a little further down there's a boarding area where I always see two WSW on the regular and I'm sure there's more. Problem with that area Gwinnett is pretty familiar with the walkers and will pull up if they see you interacting with one they know is one.

It was pussy out 24/7 I mean Fib is the perfect location for this type of activity. You don't have any schools or neighborhoods around. Yea it's not that big of a track but the quality was plentiful back then.
