Yes, that metadata needs to be stripped out before putting any pic anyplace others have access to it. Posting on SA, texting to a POT, etc. I am typically opening the photo on my computer and then taking a screenshot of it. You can also move it through several different photo formats, some of which aren't going to preserve info from the phone, especially GPS info. I have to restrict my fun to daytime playtime during the week, so early check in is key. I usually call the hotel, explain I'm flying someone in from far away for an interview / presentation at the you (I live in a college town, connecting air service or multi-hour drive from any major markets) and ask A) how early can she check in so she can shower and change for the meeting / Interview.
