Most computers these days and pretty well all smartphones use solid state drives and memory; all data written to a SSD is recoverable, even if it's encrypted. It just takes longer if it's encrypted, but is all there.

The only thing you're really doing by clearing your cache is making it so an SO can't easily track what you're doing or have done.

This sting that happened last week is under the brand new statute, and yes, all but one were charged at a residential location in both the Feb. Sting and the may sting. Both homes owned by the land reutilization company at that time. I think they actually wait until they are arraigned to announce the arrest, as the offense date is 4/26 but the articleis announced on 5/4 when their arraignment happened. The interesting thing is one of the guys was charged at a random location in the middle of the street with no physical address about 23 miles away on the county line from the sting house. As I mentioned on the CLE boards, I wonder if this guy drove by and fled and they tracked him down. Definitely can't see that one holding up in court. But what I'm interested in is what plea bargains these guys will get.

Just open your cmd prompt and type ipconfig / displaydns if you don't believe me. Clearing DNS with ipconfig / flushdns adds an extra layer of protection against readily accessible information on your PC. Beyond that, Johnny is right that no one is going to spend the time, money or effort to do forensic analysis on your HD over some hooker misdemeanor. If you're really paranoid, buy a cheap laptop cash from a pawn shop, boot into tails from a flash drive and only use public wifi. That's about as safe as the "average" person is going to get. Generally speaking, don't use an app (burner is the way to go), don't send pics, and for the love of god, don't pay with for sex with cash apps like venmo. Beyond that, you're pretty safe. Just be smart.
