Maybe on CL then too, but like about three years ago. She even had her own website for a while that she would link in her ad if I remember correctly. Anyway, her website used to advertise massage and cuddling services, but said enough that you knew a HE was included. That's just the impression I remember having from reading her ad and checking out her website, but it's been a while so I could be wrong. I've been going to Lotus for years. Recently I had the worst experience ever. I have been around long enough that I know YMMV. My visit sucked plain and simple. Worst experience there ever. Called ahead, arrived when they asked me to, was greeted and paid the door fee. Shown the room, got ready and laid down. Jessica comes in speaking her native language loudly like arguing loud. Asks how hard I want massage. Begins roughly, not hard, but rough like she's taking out frustration on me. I ask her to soften her technique. She does for a few minutes then starts talking through the walls to another employee. A few minutes later she leaves the room and has a 5 minute argument with that employee. She comes back in and continues the massage and the argument through the walls. She leaves again to get a hot towel comes back and says time is up. I had a WTF moment, got up, got dressed. She's standing there and asks for a tip. I said "no your service sucked" and walked out.

It sucks that this is the best we have in kzo.

Over countless states and cities, dozens of times I've had a girl take my money and a different girl come in to do the massage. Sometimes It works to your favor, sometimes it doesn't. Everyone's preference is different. But It only takes the most basic of social skills to say, "oh, I want the other girl to do the massage" In all my years, over those dozens and dozens of times, I can only think of 2 times they declined. Both times it was because the other girl had an appointment coming soon, and both times they offered me an appointment after, or my money back.

So basically, if someone is feeling "bait & switched", it's on you.

Hope this helps.[/QUOTE]A reasonable suggestion that I'll adopt. I'm not disagreeing with your suggested but I've had slightly different experiences so let me add a few complications, in hopes that any future AMP customers will benefit.

1. In many AMPs, the woman who greets you at the door is clearly the mamasan, much older and not dressed in a sexy outfit. That was not the case in this visit to Sunshine.

2. I've also been to AMPs where the greeter is young and dressed attractively. In most but not all cases (reference Sunshine), the greeter also provided the massage. In a few other cases, the greeter has pretty good English skills and told me that a different person would be with me soon for the massage. This would be a good model for Sunshine to adopt.

3. After paying the house fee, I typically undress and lie face down on the table. This is not always a good posture for scrutinizing the person who comes in to the room and starts the massage. At Sunsine, I'll adopt a different strategy and stay seated so that I can more easily see who enters the room.

4. In my experience, many of the masseuses have limited English skills so simply telling them that you'd prefer a different masseuse maybe be confusing as a result of the language barrier.

My constructive take home point. Before paying, I'll start asking who my masseuse will be and decide if I'll pay and partake of a massage based on the masseuse. This applies to Sunshine as well as other AMPs.

I've had two AMP experiences recently, neither directly in Kalamazoo, but neither in a locale with a dedicated forum, so this is probably the best place to report. I have gone to Sophie's Asian Massage in South Haven a few times over the last few years. I went there once when I was pretty darn new to the hobby. That first trip I was massaged by Sophie herself. She's a talented masseuse and a reasonably attractive Asian woman, like many probably older than she looks. She is friendly and pleasant and knows how to flirt and even tease a bit. This place literally screams "typical AMP experience. " There's a section on their website where it talks about it being "bodywork" rather than massage. They're open late, often a good sign that it's a rub and tug joint. In their ads on CL they emphasize, "new, young, pretty girls working here", etc. So, I thought I was in the right place when I went the first time. About the only things missing to seal the deal were a table shower. And the actual happy ending. Sophie knew what I wanted and we even had some friendly conversation about it, but it was no go. I thought perhaps I was just too green and inexperienced and maybe she was hesitant since I was a new customer. So, I saw Sophie again and had a similar experience. I waited a while and went back and got a different provider and she knew the deal. She pointed to junior, and made some gestures. I nodded and we were off to the races. But she made sure to tell me to be quiet. I got the picture. Others provided it, but Sophie herself wasn't on board with them doing so. I went back and saw a different girl. She didn't offer, but Sophie was lurking close by, even entering the massage room during my massage to check how things were going since she said that provider was new. So that trip I also got a good massage, but no fun. A guy even called the place while I was there and apparently asked Sophie on the phone if they did HEs because she gave him a good reaming out over the phone. So, I thought as long as I could catch them while Sophie wasn't lurking too much and as long as I didn't get her as the provider, I'd get extras. I went back twice more. I'd wanted to see the girl that I'd had before when Sophie came into the room to see if she might open up some, but she was gone. I saw an older but attractive provider that I hadn't seen before. Sophie was there, but this provider yelled out to Sophie in Chinese a few times. I figured out she was doing this to gauge if Sophie was lurking or stationary in the building. So, she gave a good HE and just did the finger over the lips to let me know to be quiet. I had gotten into the habit of texting them ahead and asking who was working in order to avoid getting Sophie as my provider, so about a month after that I texted and it turned out Sophie was out of town and the same provider I'd seen on my previous visit was running the show that night. I went late and had a great time. Still just a HE, but no worries about a lurking Mamasan. Then I didn't go back for over 2 years. Nothing personal, just my travels didn't take me through the area and I had found more reliable opportunities in other places. Recently I was going to be passing through South Haven and thought I'd roll the dice. I texted and was told three girls were working and none mentioned were Sophie herself. I wasn't familiar with any of the three names given, so I told them when I'd be there and that any of those three would be fine. I went and saw Linda, a young, pretty, thin provider. She gave a good massage and seemed to be a very sweet lady. She didn't mind a bit of gentle roaming, but other than the slightest of grazes against the boys, there really was no teasing. On the flip. She provided a good massage to my feet and legs. I even tried letting the towel gently slide off when she was on the upper leg, but she gently put it back in place. Sophie was on the premises, so I don't know how much of a difference that made. Linda seemed to know what I was after and didn't act offended, but didn't play ball (or play with the balls for that matter). I'd love to have the experience of another massage by Linda when Sophie wasn't there just to see if it made a difference, but I doubt I'll go to the effort and expense of testing the waters at Sophie's again. I gave her a nice tip for the massage, but nowhere near matching the door fee (I did an hour just to give her extra time to get comfortable with me. Rates were $70 for hr or $45 for hhr.).

My better recent experience was at Ocean Spa in Niles. It's a converted house and the parking isn't great, just a driveway basically. There is lettering on the door with the name of the business, but you can't see it from the road. They did have one of those "massage" flag things in the front yard. There were two other vehicles there and I almost didn't stop because I doubted they'd have 3 providers working. But I figured they'd have 2 working based on the size of the building and I'd driven a long way so I decided to stop. I had to be in the area for other reasons, but decided to check it out while I was there. I went to the door and rang the bell per instructions on the door. I was greeted by an attractive Asian lady who asked me to have a seat. The living room was converted into a waiting area. She asked me how long I wanted and collected the door fee. I asked her how long of a wait. She told me 10 minutes, which I figured was optimistic. It wound up being about 15 minutes. From what I could tell she was the only one working so that was a bummer, but she was nice looking, so I thought it was worth the wait. Another downside was that when the other monger was done he had to walk through the same waiting area. I heard him coming and looked down at my shoes and he didn't linger, so it wasn't awkward, but the set up could be better. After the provider cleaned herself and the room up a bit, she escorted me back. I did hhr and door fee was typical. She said her name was Li-li or something similar. She was one of the better looking AMP providers I've seen. She had a bit of meat on her, but was fit and not fat. She had a nice tattoo going up one thigh. She was wearing cut off shorts and a snug t-shirt. She gave a good massage and on the flip we discussed extras. She got comfortable and gave me the best CBJ I've ever had. I'm still not a fan of CBJs, but they're growing on me and this one was the best of the bunch I've had so far. Tip was on par with other similar experiences. I'm rarely in or near Niles, but will stop in again if I find myself close by. --RJ.

Your local massage lover here. I was out working and ran across another Asian massage place that is opening in the area. It will be called moon spa and it is on 716 W. Milham, east of the post office on the north side of the road. It is in a shared building with an insurance company. When I looked it up online it says the place is open, but it isn't yet. As usual as soon as it opens, I will check it out. One thing I already don't like is that it is on a busy street. I will never understand with all the discreet locations in Kalamazoo why they need to set up shop on busy streets. So, we now will have nine AMP's.

I didn't get a jackhammer chubby girl with big tits though, I got a young looking but probably late 30's girl that was really pretty. Her immediate tease at the start let me know I'd get something after the flip so I just enjoyed the massage. The massage was great and when I flipped the view was better than I previously thought. A few months back there was report of an AMP in St. Joseph. Then, if memory serves me, one of our forum contributors TOFTT and reported legit massage, no play. I'm in St. Joe every once in a while, so I was initially intrigued, but given the report, I filed it away and forgot it. However, I had to be in St. Joe a few days ago and had the urge, so I thought I'd check it out. I did a bit of recon via Google and it seemed like this place was still open. They even have an active website if you dig deeply enough to find the link. It's simply listed as "Health Spa" on Google, so it treats that like a category rather than a name and brings up all sorts of results. If you add the word "Asian" to your search (Asian Health Spa, St. Joseph, MI) it usually brings up this place. And according to Google it's still open. So I attempted a visit. It's apparently in a building right on Niles Ave. In St. Joe, a building that is shared by the Berrien County Democrats and a counseling office of some kind I think. Anyway, the most prominent sign on Niles Ave. Is for the Democrats. There are two doors facing Niles Ave. , one with numbers on it that seems to be the main entrance to the building. I assumed this went to the Democrats office. There are other doors on the side of the building, less conspicuous doors, so I thought the AMP would be found behind one of these. However, I was wrong. The door with the numbers on it, what I thought of as the main door, matches the address given on Google for the AMP. The doors on the side are apparently how you enter the Democrats office and the counseling place. But there is no signage anywhere for the AMP. There is a door on the back of the building that would seem to line up with the part of the building with the address to the AMP, but there was no signage on that door either, nor did it looked like it was used regularly. After making a couple of strolls around the building and being concerned I would attract unwanted attention (the Democrats office was closed, but there was one care parked on the side of the building and lots of traffic going by), I decided to casually walk up the sidewalk to the main door on Niles Ave and give it a knock. There was no doorbell, so I gave it a few good knocks. Nothing. Then again, louder. Still nothing. There's a large window beside that door and the blinds were open. And from what I could see, the place looked empty. However, I could only see the front room of the office, so there may have been activity behind a closed door. Still, it was a disappointing and unfruitful trip. I anticipated writing this review and reporting on at least a massage and then stating whether any fun was had after the flip. But in my case at least, there was no fun, no flip, and not even a massage. So, if anyone has been recently and knows the "secret handshake" or whatever I should have done to have determined where this place is and how to gain entrance, please let me know. I'll likely be back in St. Joe in a month or two and may feel adventurous that day if there's anything there to investigate. TIA--RJ.

I made the visit to the new AMP. Because they are just getting going it was a rocky set up. I text the number and the manager did the responding. I set up a time and when I got there no one was there. I reached back out to the manager, and she rescheduled me for another time. When I showed up later, there was a truck there, but it wasn't the lady doing the massage, it was the same young man I meet two days before working on the place. The manager kept texting asking me if the lady was there.

After about forty-five minutes and a dozen text messages, the lady showed up. She comes in and says sorry and leads me to the room. Typical set up in the room. She gets to work and gives a good massage (Grade B level) No teasing at all. When she finished, she gave me a water and apologized for her bad English.

Pros:

- Massage was good not great.

- Lady was decent looking (If that matters).

- She didn't offer DIY.

Cons:

- Miscommunication on the set up.

- As I mentioned, they share a building with an insurance company and the massage rooms are right next to the wall of the other business and the walls are thin.

- Parking. Your car will be visible from Milham.

- Language Barrier.

- No teasing, which is fine since she didn't offer DIY.

- The manager scheduled several mongers around the same time because she couldn't keep track of who was who. The reason I know this is because she texted me and said, "If anyone shows up, tell girl it's your turn and have them leave".

- The girl isn't managing the phone, the manager is, which will lead to more confusion.

All-in-all it wasn't a bad massage, but there a few things that make me iffy on the place. I will give them another try, but not sure if it will be my new go too. It seems straight massage which is fine if they don't start the DIY stuff. Fellow mongers, if they ever do try DIY, don't give in. We need to stand together and start turning down self-service.
