Maybe I'm doing it wrong. Sat thru that sad game 7 for the Phillies and on the way back thru NJ, I took the scenic Broadway detour. Given I had a few beers and it was after midnight, I wasn't seriously thinking of any action but I was surprised to see 3 solid options on my drive thru (plus a fist fight outside that new bar that opened near Atlantic Avenue).

So maybe I need to adjust my shopping hours on Broadway. I tend to do my window shopping as soon as the sun goes down and it looks like later is better. Small sample size of one so keep that in mind.

For the life of me, couldn't find that one place this chick showed my that was a chill picnic / fishing area that you can drive through the gate into. Maybe they got rid of it?

Anyways, it was dead. No one made eye contact except this one lady in sunglasses. She was walking down Broadway and started giving me the look. I found this weird seeing that she was walking with a 10 lb dog. Like, what did she expect me to do?

On top of that, this whole area is being run by the police LOL. Came across 2 dark unmarked police vehicles, one riding around on a bike, polices cars parked on all the usual gathering spots, and there's police driving routes on each section of the strip. I also came across a cop riding in what looked like a tuned-out Ford Mustang police sports car. Was about to ask him how he get one of those and for him to chill before he gives people another reason to defund the police.

Called it quits and got breakfast on my way back home. I'll try again one of these nights.

During the day I used to find single moms on the strolls that did it for extra cash or something to do while their kids were in school. They would be out between 10 am and 1 pm. Saw Tia last night, scooped up near Spruce. I've been trying the 10 first then the rest when they finish. It's been going ok. Hasn't helped enthusiasm. She was mundane, methodical. So that may be why they have people out. The two girls on walnut were all smiles and I saw them talk to a few cars which eventually drove off. But many agencies have numbers that they want to come in above or below for whatever political reason. Funding, elections, or just smoke and mirrors. I mean I'm sure it happens sometime but apparently it was streetwalkers specifically. And I think it as two, and I think brutally. The details I got weren't good. I'm hoping someone else heard about it and can relay details without me doing it.

I know the plates had GC on the number itself. Most were black smaller SUV. One had two people in it and one on radio. But there were a LOT of them. Like 8 or 10 roaming that area and the side streets.

I noticed over the years many things that happen in the streets don't make the news. It's unfortunate but a homeless poor drug addict who has no immediate family could meet a gruesome death and it won't make the news but a pretty college age girl goes missing or is murdered and that makes the news for weeks. If you talk to enough girls on the streets they will tell you about the bodies that were found. About a month ago they found a woman's body.

The news should be renamed the Doom and Gloom Report. You can make a bingo board with all of the worst news. Gun Violence with 1 dead 2 dead or more, Fire and Arson, Gov't / political scandal / fight etc. And the Center Square is the 30 second feel good story to end the show. Then they repeat the program more times then Sports Center.

While maybe it is news, I think we have been desensitized with so much doom and gloom.
