Just so that I completely understand your position, (and to avoid any future misunderstanding and/or confusion on my part) what exactly IS the metric, according to you, by which we base whether people can comment on things or not? I, personally, do not have the authority to decide who can comment on what here. Or what is discussed, what direction a discussion takes or how long it continues.
It was my belief that those standards were set by site rules and ADMIN, who, as site moderator has the ultimate authority to shut down any discussion which violates forum terms of use.
I read the site rules when I signed up, and the discussion in question does not appear to violate the forum terms of use in any way. Of course, I could be wrong-it wouldn't be the first time I've made a mistake.
