That being said, I assume you have the ability to see things from two different angles. Also, I can only speak for myself.
1. I don't get jealous over what someone else has, because I'm already content with my own current posessions. Do I want to improve certain aspects of my life? Sure, who doesn't? But I also feel that envy is more for irrational females and immature people who lack self-confidence.
