If you ask for a girl by name you are still getting the girl they want you to have. The girl will call herself by the name you requested, but it may or may not be the one others here have been talking about. And that backs you in a corner. You can either take the service, call her a liar, or make up an excuse to leave.

I personally never ask for anyone by name or make any appointments. I go in, and if I don't like who I'm given I ask to see what other girls are working. That often works, especially at Chinese places. If it's an old cranky Korean though you'll likely be refused.

Whether you like the girl you are given or not, ask her name. You're more likely to get the truth then as opposed to making an appointment or walking in and asking for a girl by name.
