Seriously, I've never had a conversation with her and don't know her name, but I've seen her roaming around various downtown locations for a long time. This morning, long after sunrise, this woman was sleeping near the intersection of Nuuanu Avenue and South Pauahi Street. She was lying in a fetal position, on a dirty mat placed directly on the sidewalk, and looked filthy and disheveled. Some guy awakened her, gave her food and something to drink, and then encouraged her to stand up and move along. However, after she finished eating, she just went right back to sleep on the sidewalk.
