The Good Guide To The Blade: How to Avoid Having a "Bad" Time
I'm a long time monger, grew up in So Cal and had good times on the strolls there. From The OC, Los Angeles and San Diego counties. Been living in AZ since 2006.
I remember when having a car date was almost always fun and an economical way to "Nut". Fast forward to today? What we're seeing is a hell of a lot of GPS (Golden Pussy Syndrome). I don't even touch providers who provide through escort sites, why? Because they keeping pushing donation rates to ridiculous amounts, on average of 400-600 for just 30 min. If you have coin to burn, by all means then. But this guide isn't meant for those who have vast amounts of disposable play money. This guide is more or less meant for guys on a certain budget that don't want to blow their wad on a crap date.
This guide can help out visitors to the area that want to navigate The Blade and for locals that want to nut without getting burned. And unfortunately, getting burned out here is becoming more and more the case. Let's unpack this in more detail.
1) The Blade, like any stroll, is hot. You have the usual assortment of LEO cruising around and unmarked vehicles. All it takes is bad luck and bad timing to get nailed for a stop. Always be alert.
2) The Blade is anything but discreet, you have a ton of cars shopping here like an open market and lots of looky-loos, weirdos and people who get off on just watching. Especially so for weekend jaunts. Long lines of cars, other cars coming up right on your ass when you pull over to talk to a lady.
Here are some real issues happening out here:
- Lets start with donation $. Within the past 6 months, there has been a slight decrease in asking price. Before it was a more strict 150-200. With an economy that's dictating spending power, I believe more and more guys started to balk at those prices, which in turn caused the ladies to start dropping down to 120-150, but no lower than 120. This caused a negative effect amongst the ladies. Why? Because with the GPS they already have, they probably feel insulted they have to lower the donation rate. Which in turn caused.
- More attitude and decreased performance. Nothing is worse than forking over 120-150 and have the ***** pull off as soon as you start to blow. I mean, are these street hookers or housewives? I'm confused here. You can be married and get this bullshit. They expect you to jerk yourself off to completion? WTF? Keep this point in mind, lots of these ladies are experts at the BJ, they can have you ready to blow in 2 minutes, then you self serve. So you just dropped 120-150 for about 2 minutes worth of fun, or, is that really fun? Let me ask ya, have you ever driven home with buyers remorse?
- The biggest issue here: Read this and know this. Many of these new breed street ladies are young, but legal 18+. They are nothing but OnlyFans wannabees. The last thing they really want to be doing is having to put in actual work and have person to person contact with men. They'd rather be on OnlyFans making a grip of money selling nude pics online, not getting their hands dirty with the street hustle. Unfortunately, so many women are on there now it's almost impossible to make any real money, it's flooded now and the time to just simply hop on that site and make $$$ has come and gone. Only the most beautiful true model types are having quick success. So they bring this resentment into their trade out here, it shows in their attitude and crappy customer service, if you want to call it that.
- Do any of you guys remember when street ladies were more flirty, more friendly, more willing to hop inside your car? Now its a like a tense moment almost, awkward at times. There's a fine line sometimes on what they should be asking and what you should be asking, to avoid possible incrimination. Some are completely blunt and ask how much you want to spend and watcha want to do. I generally get caught off guard when they get aggressive like that, but I guess it goes both ways. Because.
- After getting burned with multiple crap dates. I started to ask more questions. This was after the checks, either I grope or they grope. Know this, because guys are becoming more hip to the con a lot of these ladies are pulling, and not "buying" in, many of the ladies are resorting to lying. They offer to give you 30 minutes and they have a room. Let me tell you straight up, NONE of these ladies are going to give you 30 min, room or not. They might even offer to give you what you requested, but after you get to the room and hand over donation, then they want extra for what ya want. It's a hustle man, be careful. Many of these new breed OnlyFans wannabees are all about the upsell. Let's talk about that more.
- Do any of you guys remember car dates back in the day? When street ladies pretty much did what you asked for? Within reason, short of wanting to put a baseball bat up their ass or something crazy LOL. But we're dealing with street ladies here and car dates. These aren't refined and classy Incall Escorts. These new breed street hustlers don't allow you to: Touch their hair, their face (I can maybe see that point), you can maybe touch their tits, but you can't suck or kiss them. They might let you fondle a little bit, you can no longer play with their ass. Which was always my favorite. If they do permit any of these things, that can cost you extra. So what we're seeing here is bare minimal effort for a lot of money. They only want to give the least amount of effort for the most amount of money they can extract out of you. That's a bad combo.
- Ask questions, put them on the spot before you take the date. How much time you going to get, can you do this or that, are you even going to take your clothes off. I don't like dates when they aren't even willing to take their top off, that's complete bullshit. Do pay attention to the type of clothing they have on. Is it intricate, looks like a pia to take off and put back on? If it looks like that, that means her clothes stay on. Which can ultimately mean your set to have a crappy date. Any real hooker will take her clothes off man, it's all part of the job. If they don't want to get naked they need to find another line of work. A hooker who doesn't want to take her clothes off is like your landscaper telling you he doesn't cut grass.
- Know this, many of these ladies don't even like men. So you add another level of negative vibes to the whole experience. I had a legit street lady even admit this to me, many of these ladies can't stand men. So go with your gut, check out the way she talks to you and the way she carries herself. This method can help you avoid the super rushed date that's never fun and enjoyable. Back in the day if I asked a hooker politely to please take her time, they almost always obliged. These new breed ones? Fuggetaboutit.
- Come out here with a budget in mind and be prepared to drive away and head on home if ya have to. It saves you money, frustration and time. If you see that irresistible hottie and she's acting sketchy, doesn't want to talk, just move on and next her.
- Potentially risky dates at the local motels. Recently there was lots of publicity and a huge bust that went down at one of the local motels along the blade. It was basically operating as a brothel and got shut down. With that being said, I'm wondering about surveillance in and around other motels. Could management / ownership be possibly working with LE? I mean, ya never know man. This could be set up as a long term surveillance type of deal. Men coming and going to the same room (s). Facial recognition, license plate I'd. Etc Usually these type of activities take place over months and without a lot flex being seen. I don't know about you, but I'd hate to receive that call, "You have been identified as person of interest in an ongoing investigation. You were seen coming and going from a room of interest at Motel X, room number xxx at this date and time". Don't mean to sound paranoid here, but ya never know.
- There can still be fun to be had out here, but you just have to be smarter about it now. Use more discernment, don't be afraid to push and make clear what you want out of the date, or you're going to get pushed around.
- Final Verdict: Avoid this place unless you're prepared to drive off if getting bad vibes.
A shell of its former self
Hate the risk of picking up on the blade however the little head was leading the way late Friday night. Haven't been there in a while but saw cameras on 27th / Pierson, 26th / Elm, Glenrosa /27th and 27th / Luke. Most of the SW out by Pieson / Elm. Some other areas I've had luck down 27th was Georgia, Montebello, Rose, Mclellan and Augusta. The amount of mongers chatting up chicks directly in view of these cameras was mind-boggling. Pretty sure they ain't fake.
For those slightly out of the beaten path, rates went from 1. 2 to 1. 8 all covered and no roaming hands. Only one seemed worth it but was literally 20 ft away from a camera. Unfortunately don't think these SWs are smart enough to use another street without cameras and actually see business return.
What the cameras mean on The Blade
What you're seeing in the area historically known as "The Blade" (the 27th Avenue corridor, specifically between Indian School and Northern) is a direct result of a massive, multi-million dollar public-private partnership called 27 Collab.
Because Grand Canyon University (GCU) has expanded its footprint significantly in that areabuilding dorms, business hubs, and the new Public Safety Dispatch and Real Time Operations Centerthe surveillance landscape has fundamentally changed.
Here is a breakdown of what those dome cameras are and the implications they bring to the neighborhood.
1. What are these cameras?
Unlike photo-radar cameras that only trigger on speed / red lights, these are High-Definition Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) dome cameras.
Real-Time Monitoring: These are often linked to GCU's "Real Time Operations Center" and the Phoenix Police Department. They allow dispatchers to "patrol" the streets virtually 24/7.
Integration: They are frequently part of a network that includes Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs) and sometimes acoustic gunshot detection (like ShotSpotter).
Evidence Gathering: They record high-quality video that is stored (typically for 30 days) and used to build cases against high-level trafficking syndicates rather than just issuing traffic tickets.
2. Legal and Crime Implications.
The primary goal of this specific camera rollout is the "deterrence and displacement" of the street-level activity "The Blade" was named for.
Shift from Low-Level to High-Level Arrests: Instead of just picking up "streetwalkers," police use the footage to track vehicle patterns to identify and prosecute pimps and traffickers.
The "Displacement Effect": A major implication is that while crime rates drop on 27th Ave (GCU reported a 30% drop in overall crime recently), the activity often moves a few blocks east or west into residential areas that don't have the same level of surveillance.
Reduced Response Times: Because the cameras are monitored by dispatchers in the neighborhood, "boots on the ground" can often be directed to a scene before a 911 call is even placed.
3. Social and Privacy Implications.
The renovation and surveillance go hand-in-hand with the gentrification of the corridor.
Loss of Anonymity: For residents, it means being on camera from the moment you leave your front door. While many welcome this for safety, it marks a permanent shift in the "privacy " of the neighborhood.
Property Value vs. Privacy: As GCU continues to build, the heavy surveillance makes the area more attractive to developers and students, which typically drives up property taxes and rents, potentially pricing out long-term residents.
"The Eye of God" Effect: Constant surveillance can lead to a "chilled" social environment where residents feel they are being watched by the university and the city simultaneously, blurring the lines between campus security and municipal policing.
All 3 Dominoes Have Fallen At The Blade
Sorry to bring such downer news mates, but it must be said.
The first domino to fall was the take down of the Royal Inn. This place was flagrant man, and quite obvious what was going on, then you add into.
The mix some goof on You tube decides to give them extra exposure. And boom. Bye bye.
The second domino to fall is the major influx of the OnlyFans wannabes. I covered this topic before in another post, but this is major. These newer breed SW's don't.
Have a clue about what the hell they're doing, add into the mix the major GPS they have and guys started to finally balk about paying high prices for crap service.
Imagine that, a SW who doesn't want to take her clothes off and won't let you touch her body. I was talking a LSW once and after getting burned I asked her if I would.
Be able to touch her and play with her tits, she told me no because she has "Boundaries". WTF man?
The third and final domino to fall is video surveillance, a co-op between GCU and Phoenix PD. Be careful about this man, the heat is turning up as they want to seriously.
Clean up the area. You can check out the Tube about a school out in Queen Creek that is under investigation as they were pimping out teen girls out on the blade. Once.
Stories like this pop into the mix, be rest assured the Blade is going to fall and you don't want to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
SW's are highly transient and I'm sure they will find another area to migrate to, could this be the revival of Van Buren?
