Now I've greatly enjoyed prostitutes for many years, and I don't think that prostitution among consenting adults is in any way immoral.

In my opinion, however, mongers who say they want to marry this prostitute or that prostitute might want to consider two points.

First, the prostitute is being paid to "like" the customer and provide the customer with an enjoyable experience for a relatively short period of time. If a guy married her and was with her every day, her behavior and personality would probably be different, at least in some respects. In my mongering career, for example, I've learned that some prostitutes whom I thought genuinely liked me actually disliked me, LOL.

Second, prostitution is an occupation in which a woman can make a comparatively large amount of tax-free money in a relatively brief amount of time. So unless a guy is sufficiently rich to provide the woman with everything she wants, there will often be an incentive to secretly return to some form of prostitution, even if temporarily.

So in my opinion the bottom line is: "Think long and hard before you make a decision to marry a prostitute".

Got real close to 3 over the years. I took pride in the fact that I could (sorta) really date them while they still took $ from customers. I used to think that proved I viewed them as equal because I was paying for sex and I didn't want people to judge me.

In reality I think the saying about taking the girl out out of the bar but not the bar out of the girl is really true. I know one AMP girl I was very close to finally quit when she went back home to Korea on an extended vacation and met someone her age that had enough money to take care of her. I have heard from her twice in the past 3 years and she claims she is happy. I can't imagine it working to meet a working girl here in Hawaii, fall in love and try and have a life together here. I think you would have to move away from any place she had ever worked in order to truly separate from that part of her life.

There used to be a discount adult video store off of Ward in the Kakaako area back in the mid- to late-'90's. I think they produced the videos you were thinking about.

I hooked up with one of the porn stars that featured at the Wild Horse back in the '90's and her old man videotaped it. I made inquiries to that video store when I saw what they were producing a few years later about being a stunt cock in their videos (hey I was in college and I needed the work, ha ha). They told me the girls they shot usually shot with their BFs. I mentioned the tape I had and they made me an offer to sell it. I didn't have any clearances from the porn star, so I declined (it also wasn't meant for sale).

Someone else commented a while ago that they thought Ivy would fix them because they were making so much money. The tables they have currently stink because they are waterlogged and they don't have face towels to put on the headrest like other AMPs.

He eventually ventured into auto related businesses and so forth. I was actually a customer back then and I saw him recently at a Punahou gathering. I trashed the videos awhile back LOL.

There was also Hawaiian Exotic Girls 1 that featured Timberland (from VG) and Shadow.

The Hawaiian Dream Girls stuff was the Mr. X guy that went to Punahou that I was talking about. His output, when he was putting out movies seemed really sporadic when it came to Hawaii stuff. The stuff he shot in the Philippines seemed to to be what kept the lights on for his company. I think one of the girls he shot was a fairly popular stripper at Femme Nu (don't remember her name) -- I remember seeing her at the 24 Hour Fitness in Mililani before I left for LA, then bumped into her again there when I came back on vacation and asked her about it. She laughed and seemed a little embarrassed about it.

Another company you might have seen was Surfer Pictures. I did a story on them when I worked at AVN. They were a mainland based company that was shooting in Hawaii and their gimmick was that they were shooting in HD. It was the early 2000's so this was a pretty big deal at the time. They claimed to have distribution from Hustler, but I didn't see anything from them other than their first movie.

I've toyed with the idea of getting some people with money together and putting together a website for girls from Hawaii, but the problems I ran into were pretty much the same as, I'm guessing, these other guys ran into. Local girls don't want to be on camera and shooting outside -- especially on Oahu -- can be very problematic. That's not even getting into the legality of it all. It's not even a viable idea now, seeing as how no one's paying for porn.
