Korean Bar Reports

Oh hell yah!, if you down to have fun then nothing will phase you or ruin your moment. You have to tell yourself this: "Do I care what people may think if I sing outloud at the bar?" Nope! "Does it matter if I go to the bar and I'm sitting by myself?" Nope! In fact, I'm not entirely concerned about the people looking at me and thinking how they will react. I am in my zone to have fun. If there's one thing women admire or generally people admire is someone who knows how to enjoy themselves and have a good time.

I give you credit man and props that you are willing to check out a KB by yourself despite your friends not wanting to go to a KB.

Eat, drink, try to be merry, and, if you're lucky, a good conversation.

No expect too much and you'll get more.

I agree with most others, in that, you are going to get back what you give out. Polite gets polite, a smile gets a smile etc. I've met various folks through the years in KB's. Plenty good folks in my opinion. For a new bar, I'll stand outside for a bit, have a smoke and see who is coming/going. I've met more than one BG outside having a smoke.

Next, I'll go in to check out bar space. If no more, I'll typically move on. Rarely do I occupy a booth by myself, I mean, rarely. Ok so I've got my seat at the bar, preferably on the corner so I can have a good look at the girls as they come up for drinks. Plus I've positioned so I can see which ones are just hanging out in some booth by themselves. Don't drop $3 down for a beer. Always, at minimum, a $5 so there's money on the bar. Always leave the money on the bar unless you are leaving. As long is money is flashing, you'll get decent service. Bartender a cutie? Think about buying her a drink. Maybe she bar tends 2/3 days a week and works the floor other days. BTW there are some good guy bartenders that will help you out with good advice or point out the ROBS. They deserve something for their advice. In Kalihi buying the male bartender a drink is $10. It is worth the investment most times. I bounce between AMPs, kapiolani, kalihi, and just started checking out Pearl Kai Shopping Cntr. I am not a local (only been here a little over 30yrs). Sometimes, I don't know, maybe they think I'm the INS or whatever. That's ok, just have some patience, leave a decent tip (if you got responsive service) and maybe the next time they'll be a little more relaxed about you. If I've had a good time even chit chatting with whomever, you'll see me leave with a smile and a "thanks". Well it works for me.

Club Hollywood got raided late night about 11pm 10 cops and two LI, so BS they took photos of everyone and the video gaming machines. And guess what they arrested one girl for consuming alcohol and touching a customers leg and arm they stated that touching of any kind is illegal BS there was two plain clothes cops drinking and took the girl that if you don't drink Alcohol they would not buy any drinks. They never touched the 5 video gaming machines, even thought the place last week in china town had all the machines taken when discovered in an unrelated complaint. more BS smells of a payoff Chief Kealoha needs to clean house. What a waste of tax payer money 12 City employees -10 cops two LI 4 vehicles for a BS arrest. It must have cost us over $3,000 for a 8hr work day for these guys. I wonder what they did for the rest of the night sleep? Than there is court dates, more BS in tax dollars they should be rounding up the drug dealers, gambling houses and the organized crime heads not ruining a night for hard working girls and customers. I for one could never be a bar girl!

At Camelot, the best view is to sit at the bar in the corner by the game machine as you walk in. That way you can survey the entire bar and see what chicks are coming up for drinks and how often. If not there, you can sit at the other end of the bar that is next to the sofas. You get a good view of the girls at the well, but you can't see what is going on behind you.

And found that I do much better going it alone! If I go hustling women with a buddy or two, I notice that they are more apt to hold conversatons, thus leaving less time looking for women!

In a Korean bar, it really doesn't take much to attract a woman. So if you look healthy and clean cut and like to talk to a good looking woman, then you shouldn't have any problems! Just be wary of the women who, "assembly line drink"! Meaning the obvious rapid drinkers! You'll be out a few bills, real quick! But if she is really beautiful like "Angel" at D'Amour. I say she's better looking than "Maria Ozawa"! Then maybe your money may have a higher limit than normal! Just look confident and in a Korean bar if you look a hostess in the eye, that's usually the signal for her to attack you and you billfold!

So, as the song goes, "Don't worry, Be Happy"!

And if you see "Angel" tell her that "Opa Handsome" says hello!

With new mayor and feds quotas to be made to show they doing something they are going to crack down on BG and bars or they going find one way to tax them. Bar girl business not going be easy anymore. but that wont stop me from having fun.

KBGs are the only ones who think I'm "so handsome!" They "cannot believe" I don't have a GF and think I'm "lying". The younger and hotter the chick, the more emphatic she is about it :D.

Aww yah man. Do it man do it! Hehe. As mentioned earlier, just go in there, find an open seat at the bar if you can find one. Try and sit at the front as you enter by the right side of the bar near the game machine, ATM machine and cigarette machine. When you stand outside the door, look to see if there is an open seat. That's one thing about Camelot is that you can look from the outside if there is an open seat by the bar. You don't need to physically walk in and look around for one like some of the other bars. I think you'd feel a bit awkward trying to look for an open seat and you can't find any and you end up walking out of the bar. Heh, don’t go to the booth man especially if you’re there by yourself. That is danger zone right there. This implies that you do want company and want a BG to sit with you. Once you sit at the bar, one of the bartenders will approach you asking what you want to drink. If it’s Bobbi from Camelot, she is a tall thin Korean in her 40s. She can be fun to talk to. Note that Bobbi is there normally after 7:00pm. You order a bud light drink and pull out a 20, she takes your 20 and comes back with the change. You can just leave the change on the counter near your drink. If you’re ready for another round of bud light, she will just take the money that you left on the counter to pay for the second drink.

Bobbi will know that you're new to that bar as she knows the faces of the regulars that go there. She will ask if you want something to eat and may offer pupus or just snacks like peanuts, chips and m&ms to snack on. No be shame to later offer her a drink as a sign of respect for her serving you some pupus and snacks. As you talk story with her for a while, she will ask you if you want a girl. Don't be afraid to ask her which girl you want and for her name. Or, if you don’t feel like it, you can just tell her: “No, not right now” Before, I know Bobbi tries to offer a girl to sit by me but, I keep rejecting. Heh, I just reject any girl man it don't matter how pretty the girl is. If I'm not in the mood to buy a BG a drink, I'll say no. Don't worry, Bobbi the bartender won't be sucking you for drinks as often because there will be other guys at the bar buying her drinks anyways. If you sit there all quiet and not socializing with anyone in general, I guarantee you that a BG who is not busy will spot you from a distance and then approach you.

*Note: If you buy a BG 5-6 drinks in a 30 min time frame, she is drinking it way too fast. If it’s averaging 5 min every drink, just stop it already. Put your foot down. Give her the boot! You will come across a BG who will fall under this.

If you are one who can talk, it does help keep the conversation going. It helps lengthen the time she will ask for the next drink. If you get stuck and there's silence in the conversation, she's just going to sit there with an empty glass and then ask you if she can get another. If you two are hitting if off on a good conversation, you guys will be into it where she will be a little distracted to ask for a drink right away. It depends on the girl though. Some girls may not be that good in socializing. That's why, if you do get stuck with these type of girls, you need to be able to lead the conversation. I'm not sure how much you’re willing to spend on drinks at a KB but, 6 x drinks in 30-45 min time-frame is not good. That's $120 already. This is getting close to an AMP fee already. Be able to keep the girl occupied by talking or even singing. By doing this, it helps slows down the next “can I get another one?” hehe

*Note: don’t be intimidated by a BG especially if she looks good. She is basically a person and just talk to her as though she is just that a person. Some guys get so excited and she can sense it. Because she knows you are, this is where she can take advantage of you by getting more and more drinks. Generally, most of the pretty ones like to get a lot of drinks because they know that they can. Why? Because other guys are willing to and have bought them a lot of drinks.

If you are singing karaoke at the bar and she’s next to you, you can put your arm around her waist. Don’t be afraid to do this. You’ll know when to do this when she’s close to you. Do it as though she is your GF. Of course if she was your gf, you’ll do it in a smooth gentle manner. When you know you’re down to your last 20 dollar bill, just let her know in advance that it will be her last drink. You don’t want her to think that you will be getting her 2-3 more drinks. When you are about to leave, just give her a slight hug and leave some cash on the bar as tip.

Now, you can pretty much follow the same procedure when you check out another KB. It won’t be exactly the same with all the KBs but, generally pretty similar. I wouldn’t advise you go sit at a booth by yourself especially if you are new to that bar. There’s a likely chance that not 1 but 2 BG will sit at the booth with you and be stuck buying them both drinks. What you can do is if you have a BG next to you at the bar and you want to get a little more personal with her, then go to the booth. At least this way, you already have someone. The other BGs will see that and leave you two alone.

*Note: there’s a possibility that the girl whom you are sitting with may step away and then grab one of her BG friends to come to the booth and sit with you. She wants her friend to get some business to especially when the bar is slow and they don’t have any customers.

For now dude, just get a feel for a KB. Don't feel that you need and have to have a BG sit with you. But, if you don't mind then go for it. Just remind yourself how much you are willing to buy though. Hehe I bet there are a number of us who thought we were gonna buy this many drinks but, we got carried away and withdraw more money from the ATM. It can be distracting and you do get carried away. Sometimes, you don't think about it. Heh, it's hard when you're with her kissing at the booth and you're holding her. It's a nice feeling that you don't want it to end just yet.
