I haven't participated in the hobby in all most a year but I'm making a comeback soon and may be with her. I work at a hotel in the Clayton area & one day I saw this smoking hot chick in the lobby, later on I get on BP & the pics in the ad resembled the girl I saw. That was weeks ago but everytime I see her post I wonder if it was her. I've called 3 times but never got in touch. Pics look TGTBT to me but I've been surprised before. If she ever picks up the phone I will for sure TOFTT!
Good you got out of there relatively ok. This is why it is a good idea to go to the room only with the money you need (without your wallet) a car key and maybe your phone if you feel you need it.
Out of curosity, when reporting this to the police, how does one explain how or why they were there to begin with?

Best buddy is a senior SLPD. They do not pursue, or (unofficially) care about QUITE transactions between consenting ADULTS but they are far from stupid. They are wise to the setup. That departments concern is all about addressing violence. Pursuing perps & prevention of. So they are going to take an interest in robberies. The criminals assume you won't call 911.
Now, successful prosecution is a different story. Can they get a victim / hobbyist on the stand, under oath, six months later?
My 2 cents; Don't bring a gun unless you want to risk:
A.) a freaked out, or at least tense, provider.
B.) revocation of your CC permit for bringing it inside a posted prohibited place.
C.) spending a fortune on lawyers if you do shoot.
D.) getting shot if the situation escalates.
E.) being robbed of your weapon.

I have a permit to carry and I NEVER bring my weapon out of the vehicle for the reasons you stated as well as other reasons. When I go inside anywhere to meet a date, I ONLY bring my car key. No Keyfob, no wallet, NOTHING but the cash I plan on spending. I make sure my vehicle is parked in a public place too. This way if anything goes wrong, the most they get from me is the cash I planned on spending. I never go in dive motels, or dive locations I feel unsafe. You bring a gun, you are looking at something serious happening if it goes bad. Jail time or worse. Especially if she or her friends get ahold of your gun. You could end up shot, and accused of trying to attack or rape her. You have no idea what circumstances you could put yourself into. I would rather get robbed and walk away clean, then have a nightmare unfold, news involved, months of court, etc.

I wonder how many of these thing get a reprisal. Meaning I wonder how many of these rip off perps do not get the fuck beat out of them or the hobbyist comes back with more guys or a weapon. I may be wrong but this activity is illegal to begin with so the "deal" is not with the church choir. Also most people who would travel to some sketchy areas of town can take care of themselves. I have been fortunate that the worse I have had to deal with is dumping fat cats crazy ass to the curb or some poor service. I would also guess that the hobbyist would not be on here bragging about beating someone up. I sure would enjoy reading about it and hope that it never happens to me. I have often thought about retiring from the sport and stories like this gets me one step closer to doing so.

Can someone enlighten me as to the "gift card scam"? Seems legit to me if someone wanted a gift card instead of cash. I might be perplexed as to why, but I'd probably have fallen for this one, whatever it is. Thanks!

Then before giving you the room number she'll ask you for the card info and numbers and then once she has that she'll pull all the money off the card before you get inside and knock on a hopefully empty hotel room door.
Often times they'll ask for the Greendot Moneypaks where you just scratch off the back to get the reload code numbers and once someone has the numbers the money can be uploaded to almost anywhere. There are also gift cards and other reload cards that they can do basically the same shit with.
