First, I apologize if this isn't the right forum to post this sort of thing in.

Does anyone have any tips to help with the search function on these forums? I hate being the guy who posts "anyone seen this chick" and then just linking the BP ad. Today I found an ad, went to the forum, selected search forum, entered the name. And nothing. I went to advanced search, and tried to search all of the Dayton boards for the name. Still nothing. At this point, I was suspicious of the search, so I tried searching for a name that was all over the first couple pages of the forum since I knew I should get results. Still no results returned. I ended up reading pages and pages and pages of reviews and opening every link on those pages to make sure I wasn't missing a review. 23 pages in I found a report where someone had asked about the girl in question and had received a response.

Long story short, am I missing something with how I utilize search? Trying hard not to be "that guy" who just throws up a link, but today I just wasted a lot of my potential play time reading and reading and reading tff.

For example there is one lady here that does massages and I have seen her name spelled Jinx, Jinxx, Jynx, Jynxx and so on. You have to play with some of the names. It will work if you hit the lucky combination but overall, it sucks balls. As always.

I have found that if you search on names comprising 3 characters and maybe less, the search function will not find them. I think it has some minimal short word limitation. For example, searching for known existing names such as "amy", or "jen" will NOT produce any hits, while searching for "niki", or "jenn" produces hits. At least that has been my experience.
