Then, you pay by card. I spent 1. 5 hours and was charged $2. 00, so actually cheaper than before. Guess they don't have to pay an attendant! And, the best part? When you exit, there is a place to scan the ticket but before I could even scan it, the arm went up! I guess it reads your license plate?

In 2018 or 2019, there was a small fire caused by one of the massage parlors in the building draping a red scarf over an incandescent lamp. The scarf caught fire and before it could be extinguished, the building fire alarms went off. All the elevators were shut down. The parking structure was closed both inbound and outbound. Fire trucks showed up and blocked entrances and exits to control access for several hours. Mongers were trapped inside the building for several hours. The incident is documented in this forum. This problem is not specific to CC. You could be trapped anywhere there is a parking garage. Century Square, any Waikiki hotel, even some of the low rise shops that allow you to park in their spaces could see the same kind of problem.

On the other hand, park on the street and some drunk or distracted driver rear-ends your legally parked car while you are getting your ashes hauled by Suzy Suckem. Or, maybe Harry Homeless decides he needs a nap in your car. Or you happen to simply be the victim of some random act of vandalism that trashes your windows or paintjob or taillights. You walk out to find the wrecked remains. Or that the wreck has been towed. Try explaining to your SO why you are hours late and what happened to your car.

The safest thing to do is take the train (if it EVER makes its way into town). This may be the biggest reason to support a good public transportation system in your mongering neighborhood!! The city has the idea all wrong. New slogan should be: Ride the train / bus. It's anonymous!!

What we need now is a concentration of massage parlors, rub and tug shops, and full service AMPs at every rail stop.

Now, THERE is a great business idea for some enterprising real estate developer!!

Haven't been back since covid though. Agreed that the parking attendant did look like they were judging those coming in. But then again got plenty legit shops / residences so they don't really know where ya going and who you seeing. Good to know that they upgraded the system and no attendant there anymore.
